This is a nice and relaxing resort with swimming pool, very good for relaxing: birds are the only noise you hear. There is no nearby beach though, restaurant is to avoid and breakfasts are all the same.

When we arrived in, we get very excited, because first of all it's not in Essaouira but very close to the golf camp in the hills. 3/4 kms from the city, 3 euros by taxi. This for explain how relaxing is it, it has a certain charm like an old french moroccan mansion for the holidays and has a little spa also where is possible to get massages and hammam too.
The staff is also very kind.

30 minute walk into town passing Diabat of Jimi Hendrix fame, Tangaro has a laid back vibe which is always just what the doctor ordered on holiday imho... Staff are helpful and the pool is great.
You can dip your toe into the Medina without staying in it.

Tangaro Auberge is a quite nice place to spend a night. Rooms are clean and big enough. The place is overall pleasant to see.
We had a few problems (- the toilet did not always work, - breakfast was under the sun, -
- choice of food for breakfast was really limited compared to other more modest places we had stayed in in Morocco, - precarious WiFi, - there were connection problems that made it impossible to pay by a credit card and we had to waste 30' to go to Essaouira to withdraw money and back) and probably, considering the fact that it is a few kilometres away from Essaouira, next time we would pick a different place. It was pretty, but probably not worth the Western price and the distance from the Medina.
