We experienced the perfect honeymoon here, 100% recommended if you're planning your future honeymoon in Mauritius.

Beach: best beach by far in Mauritius, if you're looking for the magic combo of azure water and white sandy beaches: look no further.

Food: never would have dreamt of this culinary level. Normal european food (but brought to a high level) and wide array of other cuisines as well. Everyting brought to a high level by the skilled chefs, the whole thing just feels like your dining in a michelin star restaurant, every day... It's really trendy and foodie-heaven-like as well (food truck, own ice cream parlor, barista bar, ....)

Service: top-notch, both in the restaurants and in general. If you have any requests, they will do their (extreme) best to ammend to it. Everyone is super friendly and helpfull.

Room: we had the Junior Suite, which was really nice. They took our preferences perfectly into account. Bonus points for the bathroom (great bath and rain shower) and soft bed!

Amenities: unfortunately there was a lot of wind in the first week we were there, but they do have a wide array of water sports. Small-game fishing as well!

Special shoutouts to:
- Jordie: great waiter, very helpfull, has a reallly nice charm to him, fitting for a higher-end restaurant
- Naaz: very sincere and joyfull person from guest relations, extremely helpfull as well
- Jennifer: she made all our dreams come true here, she the person to talk to if you have any wishes or special requests? She really makes you feel welcome
- Sylvano & Billal: top-notch barista, well-educated, technically strong in their skill

This was our second visit to Lux Belle Mare, we first visited in June 2017 and now we have just enjoyed our second visit in September 2018. My wife and I travelled here twice and coming back was even more special than the first visit, It seems to just get better and better every time.

We cannot fault the people at all even in the slightlest, the people are what make the place and they are second to none here. The resort is lovely, clean, peaceful, calm, tranquil, feels like paradise, feels so relaxing and uplifting just being there. You have to see it to believe it and feel it to understand, you as a guest will be treated very well that is for sure, customer service and care from the staff is outstanding.

There is plenty to do in the resort, there is also plenty of room for everyone and plenty of sunbeds etc so you will not miss out.The resort has a lovely Spa with spa facilites, Gym, Tennis court, craft workshop, shop for shopping, pool table, beach on the doorstep, pool, Yoga, glass bottom boat ride, water skiing, outdoor movie, message in a bottle game, hammock, sun lounger, telephone box to phone home for free.

Plenty of food choices and food is always fresh and tasty, if you dont like something they are happy to accomade and will try their best to make it better for you so dont hesitate to ask if your steak isnt cooked to your liking for example!

Food choices, we enjoyed lunch at beach rouge and k bar, also the rolls royce cubanos is always on point. Breakfast was a mix of Mixe buffet and k bar, both really good and the buffett tries to cater for all such as indian , chinese, english etc, plenty of choice, fresh crossaints made daily, fresh homemade yogurt, fresh fruit, all of high quality. Dinner choices also excellent.

Rum Hut cocktails are a treat, Cafe Lux for coffee / tea time is always a great experience and the choice of cakes are nice.

Too much to say, you just have to go there and enjoy :)

We would like to personally thank the following for their hard work, genorosity and because they are generally wonderful people:

Hema (Guest relations) - Sweet Hema was our rock on this holiday, she welcomed us on our arrival and remembered us straight away from the previous year. Hema is always smiling, laughing, funny and humours. Hema was with us from the moment we arrived, checked us in and she kept her eye on us throughout our holiday personally as her own guests. She was instrumental to this holiday as she helped us effortlessly move to a better room which was more suited to our needs. We cannot thank her enough for this because this improved our holiday greatly. It was a pleasure to talk with you and thank you for your help making this holiday a memorable one.

Hema also thank you to you because of your help I was able to teach my wife how to Swim! She now loves swimming and this is somethhing she will do for life and it all started when you helped us :)

Mr Suren (Villa manager) - Mr Suren Thank you for taking care of all our needs and making sure we were looked after, was a pleasure to meet you and we appreciate all the effort and dedication from you and your team. Very approachple friendly manager who works hard to make sure guests are looked after and taken care off.

Yash Veer (Cafe Lux) - Yash Veer is a gentelman. He always looked after us when we came for coffee, had some intertsting stories and conversations while we enjoyed a flat white and hot chocolate. He was a pleasure to be around, very sociable young man and hard working. June 2017 and September 2018

Naaz - (Guest Relations) - Lovely Naaz was always smiling and friendly, approachable and fun, She was a delight to talk to, she looked after us and helped us with many queries, always patient and her turnaround was always quick and efficient.

Jessica (Guest Relations)- Always a pleasure speaking to, very friendly, smiling and pleasant young lady who makes you feel welcome June 2017 and September 2018

Jennifer (Guest Relations) - jennifer is a lovely special lady who has always looked after us on both visits. She takes time out evertime to speak with us and engage with us about our day, holiday and anyuthing she can assist with even though she is a busy lady helping guests with weddings etc she always made us feel like priorty. jennifer arranged a special romantic dinner in the gazeebo which was a magical evening, we have never experienced anything like it and it was perfect. jennifer also arranged other special romantic experiences for us last year and this year she again helped us arange our breakfast on the beach. Jennifer is always a delight to see and talk to she is a warm hearted person, very hard working and sweet lady, thank you for eveyrhing.

Pravindh - (Villas) - Mr Pravindh personally took care of servicing our room daily, along with assistance from his colleguie Sanju. Pravindh was always a phone call away, if we needed anything, just one phone call and pravindh would action within minutes even though there was never a rush to have it done, he always delievered timely and effortlesly. Pravindh thank you for arranging a picnic for us for our day out, it was really nice and helped us out as we didnt have to buy food outside of the resort. Thank you also for our memorable experience having breakfast on the beach which you aranged and it went perfect as there was no rain that morning. Thank you also for setting up breakfast on the terrace and in our room for us when we requested breakfast in our room.

Sanju (Villas) - Sanju was working along side with Pravindh servicing our room and making sure we had eveyrhing we needed in our room. Very hard working and was often working late long hours and still on hand if we needed anything. Sanju thank you for our special suprise you aranged for us on our last night, we didnt expect that, it was special and we were really happy and appreciate the thoughtfullness.

Selva (Beach) - Selva is a nice gentleman who helped with setting up our breakfast on the beach. Selva was then with us the whole time as our personal waiter and if we needed anything he was on hand assisting us. He was a pleasure to speak with, very kind man.

Delores (Mixe) - Delores is a lovely lady who we would see at breakfast when in mixe, she is delighful, always smiling and was always a pleasure having a conversation with. June 2017 and September 2018

Manish (K Bar) - Manish is a nice young gentleman who would serve us when in k bar, he is friendly, always smiling and was a fun guy to be around when having drinks in the evening. June 2017 and September 2018

Vijaye (K bar) - Mr Vijaye is a delight, he is a pleasure to have as company and has intersting stories and converstations. we would usualy see him during breakfast at k bar or lunch time. He was always looking after us and we loved eating at k bar, food is always on point. June 2017 and September 2018

Nitin (Kbar) - Mr Nitin was also a delight to see at k bar, always smiling, friendly, always checking we needed anything, also made our last meal special by arranging us an extra special breakfast and complimentary drinks during lunch time.

Ravi (Amari) - Ravi is very welcoming, very helpful during selecting dishes from the menu. Didnt rush us when we wanted to wait for our mains to come out after having starters, he also gave complimentary snacks and drinks for us to try which was very nice of him. Thank you

We stayed at the LUX Belle Mare for 7 nights on a honeymoon package which was full board.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Highlights included 5 separate restaurants to visit. The food and service was of high quality at each location.
Room: We stayed in a junior suite, which was really good, there was ample space in the bedroom and bathroom area. Room changeover occurred twice on a daily basis.
Breakfast: Our package enabled us to dine at the K-Bar on a daily basis where we could choose from the A La Carte menu (couples only). Many thanks to Vijaye, Stephano and Nitin for their great effort and hospitality they went above and beyond and responded to our feedback.
Lunch: We dined at Beach Rouge and at the Lunch Truck – again the service made the difference all staff were friendly and attentive. Many thanks to Delores, Urvashi, Flora, Navin, Dave and Rekha …. The list could go on if I remembered everyone’s names.
Dinner: Dinner was either at Amari (an Indian Restaurant), Duck Laundry (Chinese restaurant), Beach Rouge (Mediterranean) or Mixe (Buffet). Food was of a high quality at each location. Special thanks to Roupesh, Kishan, Ravi for their great service, again there were others who did a great job. A free meal was provided at Amari to celebrate our honeymoon which we appreciated. At Amari and at Duck Laundry we were given 30% discount on food, whilst the meals at Beach Rouge and Mixe were included in our stay
Gym: The Gym was adequate – my wife liked it and she thought the machines were modern. On my last day the young gym coach took time to show me some abs exercises which were much needed given that I had been eating continuously for 7 days
Spa: Recommend visiting the Spa – our package included a 45mins massage which was decent. The Spa also has a small sunbathing area which is less busy relative to the beach (couples only)
Full Board vs All Inclusive - Drinks (including water, juices etc) are extra post breakfast, the difference between Full Board vs All Inclusive (AI) was £1000 extra for AI. Our drinks bill after 7 days was only £110, so we were better off with the Full Board package – we don’t drink a great deal of alcohol. Drinks are expensive but I believe it is worth considering whether you actually need to pay the extra £1000 for All Inclusive (assuming you receive the same offer)

The resort was really outstanding! Everything ran smoothly from when we left the airport till when we went back to it. The staff is very helpful and can perfectly speak both English and French, while it is not uncommon to find a member that is well versed in Italian, German etc...
The rooms were spacious, well maintained and full of light. All of them are no more than 2/3 minutes walk far from the main beach.
The beach is front of the hotel is very nice, even though quite windy at times. The sands stretch for many kilometers, making it a nice walk either going north or south; I particularly liked the north path. The swimming pool is nice as well, even though we went only once.
Talking about the food, like everywhere else in MRU, it could be quite expensive to eat: therefore I suggest to purchase at least the half board package if not the full board. The buffet has a wide variety of food (they change daily for dinner) and I suggest to go there some times. The other days you cannot miss the Beach Rouge next to the sea, the Duck Laundry for Chinese food and the Amari for Indian food; the last two are not included in the standard half board or full board package but you get a 30% discount. You should book quite in advance if you wish to go to Amari.

All in all, it was a nice experience and I definitely wish to come back in the future.

We spent one fantastic week in Lux Belle Mare. This was one of the best hotels we were ever in and we travel a lot. Our family villa was absolutely fantastic and we loved it very much. All the services were more than excellent everywhere and every body was extremely friendly and helpful. Very different and very tasty food. Wonderful beach. We can absolutely recommend this hotel. Go there and live the feeling of paradise. There is a lot to discover.

Room Tip: family villa with big hot pool close to the beach and two large rooms with two bathrooms, nothing to miss.
