Nice, quite a long few blocks with some excellent examples of Chinese-Malay architecture. Not touristy at all (like Mellaca). Mostly restaurants and everyday shops. One nice Arts and Crafts shop for good souvenirs as opposed to junk. Some beautiful murals down the ally ways - be sure to check them out. Busy with traffic though - too bad.

A lovely 'save the turtle' dedication is in a tiny back alley of this Chinatown. Beautiful art work and strong pleas to stop the persecution of these lovely graceful animals. Well worth a visit in Kuala Terrenggnu's China Town.

Thank Linda S

Surprisingly a sight to behold as it's in the town center where it's populated mainly by the malays. Heritage indeed with all the oldness of chinese architecture. Lots of lanes and alleys. Lots of restaurants with good food. Worth the walk.

So surprise there is heritage village in the center of towns. The arts and building designs full of heritage and sentimental values.

The state population is mainly Malay so this is a relatively small area of the town (one street mainly). There are the usual restaurants and cafes as well as several interesting shops - we bought lots of incense sticks at very reasonable prices. Just behind, there is a pleasant little waterside walk too. Chinatown is just next to the rest of the shopping area and although the street is not good for parking, there is parking a short distance away.

Definitely a myst especially for street art lovers. My favourite is Turtle Alley, great art work and lots of educational information on display especially on turtles conservations. 2 thumbs up.
I was there during Chinese New Year, so didn’t get to shop anything there because all the shops are closed in chinatown except a few makay shops selling textiles
