I don’t tend to write just negative reviews as usually I like to be positive however staying with the colour suite team has been my worst nightmare. To put things into perspective I am an accountant and my company arranged the accommodation for me. Upon arrival I was supposed to meet Asyraf at the starbucks I was calling him for about an hour before I had to contact my work as he would not answer my calls. 2 hours later a small kid arrived who didn’t speak great English didn’t show me around or apologise for the delay bearing in mind I had been travelling for 20 hours. I was taken to my room and it was filthy – you would expect they clean these things but the cupboards had cobwebs there was dust everywhere it was grotty. I thought maybe this is what was paid for as I didn’t arrange it I couldn’t comment too much. However over time I realised my company had paid for the cleaning but the only cleaning they did was change the bed sheets everything else stayed dusty and dirty. I mentioned it a few times but there was no change. The staff were supposed to leave me water and toilet roll but there were weeks when there was no toilet roll or water even when I kept messaging & calling so I bought my own and kept it in the cupboard to my surprise the following week when they cleaned they took out the toilet roll I purchased and left it in the bathroom – shocking that the staff went through my things! Bear with me this will be a very long review as I stayed here for 5 months. My next issue at around 9pm my air con unit leaked all over my bed completely soaking the bed so I called the owner – no answer surprise surprise! So I called the little kid who turned up when I asked him how can I sleep on a wet bed he just moved the bed for me away from the air con unit no new sheets or anything. So I asked for a fan as it was far too hot to sleep without air con he said he will bring me one – 2 hours later no sign and when I messaged him his response was “wait i’m busy” rather rude so I just fell asleep as I had an early start at work the next morning. He showed up past midnight and said a contractor was here to check the unit I had to turn him away as I had to get up early he then left me a fan. The next day I got rude messages saying it’s my fault the air con broke because I leave it on too much. When I tried explaining that this is what the air con is for to be used they just got rude and would not hear me out. So I left the situation. A few days later I woke up and the floor in my bathroom was completely flooded I’ve got several videos/photos which i will upload on tripadvisor. I called the owner no answer – called the kid he came up I left him to solve the problem when I came back he said he cleaned it and changed the pipe. I had plans so I left when I came back that evening it was flooded again the water was coming up from the drain. It was 10pm but I called the owner to my surprise he answered this time. His response was my staff don’t work 24 hours wait until the morning. I couldn’t wait and I was fuming because I had told him in the morning and clearly nothing was checked. The little kid came back when I told him he was rude he kept saying to me it’s because you said the pipe is leaking I'm not a plumber if my bathroom is leaking they need to check thoroughly. Everyday this leak would come up which meant I could not use the toilet and the sink at the same time it was dirty water and inhabitable. They had another room they could move me to but the owner refused to do this as my contract was until the end of the month – this was ridiculous as the apartment was not providing the service I was paying for so I lived in this disgusting place until the contract expired he then showed me another room which was similar but did not have a mirror which my initial room did so I asked for a mirror and the owner said nothing will be given you take the room as it is. My initial room also had an induction cooker and microwave when I asked the kid to bring these as well he said I have to ask the owner again this took days to arrange and the owner told me I had to check out by 12 when he knew I would be at work I asked if I could checkout at 6pm and he said my staff don’t work that late – clearly they do as they were making me wait from 10pm to midnight for a fan so a lot of lies here. I finally moved at an inconvenient time for me bearing in mind this was not a hotel and nowhere near standards of even a 2 star accommodation and all the rooms he had were empty so I don’t know why he was being difficult especially as nobody could live in the room I was checking out of.. unless he was trying to trick someone into it. My new apartment not fantastic again filthy dust cobwebs everywhere disgusting the aircon was making hissing sounds and not really cooling the room! Kitchen sink was leaking bathroom sink was leaking bathroom tap next to the toilet was leaking. The corners in the bathroom were wet and filthy the plastering in the bathroom was not done using the correct type of plastering so it meant water would not dry. Again I had no choice but to stay here and I did mention the cleaning but no change there. I have pictures of everything. One day I came home to find my water was switched off when I went to the management office they told me it was because they wanted to get in touch with the owner and he was not replying they wanted to inspect the apartment the guy came to inspect I called the kid as well. They both started speaking in the local language the management office guy was polite he explained to me the air con leak outside of the building was causing the issue for the people downstairs he told the kid that we should get it serviced so I spoke to the kid and said the air con has been an issue since I moved here as I did mention it to the owner a few times but he ignored the messages. I then said to the kid is the aircon the only issue and he said why don’t you ask the management office guy. Again rude to the point I wanted to throw him out and and give him a piece of my mind but I knew I had to stay here a few more months. He started blaming me again about the air con how could I have broken it again when the problem was there from the day I moved in. Anyway this was ongoing another month on no change they then said I could move apartments but I was not going to move as I’m sure there would be more issues and also why couldn’t they offer me an apartment that was functioning. The lack of professionalism sincerity and even courtesy for guests was awful and disrespectful it was as if they were letting me stay for free and because I’m a petite girl alone here they thought they could get away with it. Throughout my whole stay there was no sign of Asyraf not even to apologise for all my troubles. The whole team are inefficient and awful if you want a pleasant stay or even a nights sleep I would not recommend booking with this team. Be cautious as there is another guy who works here his picture is up and they have stopped advertising as colour suite his name is Muhammed so if you want to avoid this team altogether make sure you don’t book these apartments. The location is convenient to a few restaurants etc so if the apartment was functioning and clean it would be fine. I have read Asyraf’s comments to previous negative reviews and you can tell he can’t take criticism well he’s replied saying maybe my cleaner overlooked the cleaning this made me laugh did his cleaner overlook the cleaning for my 5 month stay every week? He’s also replied about the toilet roll saying the person should have asked or looked in the cupboard again made me laugh this place is a shoebox so I’m not sure how you would miss such a thing – rest assured there were no extra supplies even shower gel/shampoo was never checked I had to keep asking for it so anything Asyraf comments on is a complete lie – I will also be complaining to airbnb directly as they should not have such people on the system. I would not want anyone to experience what I have. His opening line starts with
“I'm very accommodating, friendly, and always trying to help out. I am very interested in culture from all around the world and the new things I learn from every person I meet. I look forward to learning something new from you.”
I think this needs to be edited slightly. Most of these reviews are on air bnb but as I didn't book it I can't put my review up on airbnb
