Visited this restaurant a few weeks ago. Friendly staff, but mediocre food. Nothing to shout about. Limited wine selection. Quite far from centre of town (we stayed at Hilton hotel) so unless you are around that residential area, I probably wouldn't bother

We liked everything we ordered (especially the nachos, which is a rare find in Kuching) when we tried this artfully set place. We could not enjoy our food though because of the mosquitoes. We were all getting bitten left, right, up & down. Hope they mosquito-proof the place.

Hi,
Thank you for your review.
We have recently "fogged" the area for mosquitoes. Certain times of the year there are more, sometimes less.
We do put mosquitoes coils out daily at the outdoor terrace.
The inside restaurant doesn't seem to be affected - maybe try the inside space next visit.
Kind regards.

Made a booking through a lady on the phone for a 7pm dinner. When we arrived we asked for our table but the gentleman there said no booking was necessary and we could sit anywhere we wanted. Luckily ample tables were available. Was delighted with the beautiful deco and soothing music. We gave our orders of 2 sizzling sirloin steaks, 1 sizzling salmon and 1 braised lamb shank. After a 30 minutes wait our food begun arriving simultaneously since they have a policy of serving the same table at one go. For drinks we had ginger ale, fresh apple juice, hot coffee and chocolate milkshake. The food tasted great and all in all we paid RM210.10. For a Malaysian meal for 4 this is considered quite expensive but for families and couples looking for a different dining experience this is the place to go. Ample and safe parking spaces available.

After 5 days of malaysian food during our stay in Kuching, we decided to try something different. As we both love pizza, we decided to try "Jambu"! We found this restaurant on the internet and I am so happy that we came here for dinner. Jambu is a lovely, modern, cozy place (restaurant and lounge/bar) with great western food, such as different pizzas, burgers, fajitas and salads and delicious deserts, but they also serve some typical malaysian dishes. You can sit outside or inside, we were sitting outside on a nice ventilated terrace under a roof! Everything on the menu sounded so good, but after a while we chose the sea brass with rice and vegetables and an eggplant pizza, paired with white wine. It was just great!!! Everything was fresh and tasty, the pizza was crispy and super thin, probably the best I ever had in Southeast Asia! The service was extraordinarily friendly, we really had a great evening here. Next time we visit Kuching, we will definitely come back again!

Hi Reviewer,
We have changed the main dining area location to an extended terrace area. Fully air conditioned, better facilities and a garden terrace with fans.
Sorry it wasn't to your style.
Regards.
