There was already a long queue when we arrived at 3 pm. This odd hour opening time nasi kandar restaurant (it opens at 2.30 pm) does not disappoint. Parking was non existence so park elsewhere legally or police will issue a summon or worst, tow your car away. During our time at the restaurant, police sirens and loud police speakers blared asking patrons to move their cars away. We were lucky to find a parking spot along Lebuh Cecil, about 10 minutes walk away, and a kind local couple sold us a one hour parking ticket. The food?
It was worth the hassle. After waiting in line for 15 minutes, we were served with one of the best nasi kandar in town. We order its signature dish nasi with ayam goreng berempah with sambal kelapa. We also top it up with telur sotong and okra. Marvelleous taste! All was cooked with perfectly blended spices. The chicken was fresh and crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. The telur sotong was soft and melt in mouth. Perfect combination!
To top it all was the price. With teh 'o' ice, it cost only RM12.60!
Certainly recommend locals and tourists to give this restaurant a try.
