In an authentically restored Chinese medicine hall from the 19th century, this bistro is below a 3-star bed and breakfast inn.
There is no air-conditioning but plenty of ceiling and standing fans in the bistro.
There are a small museum of the Chinese medicine hall and a cosy garden between the bistro/inn and the kitchen.
Its menu offers both local and Western. The herbal soup either mushroom or chicken with flour vermicelli or rice was good, so was the nyonya curry chicken served with rice.
Portions on the small side. If you have space for dessert the brownie was delicious and tasted freshly made.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Worth another visit.
