We visited the Ford today and paid 20 myr per person and there wasn't much more to see than construction works. Nothing interesting to see. Waste of money

Located in Georgetown. An historical site. There are a lot of cannons still in place. A big restoration is going on. So not too much to see. It is 20rm to enter, other reviews say a guide is included but i didn't have one, might of been more interesting if i did. Was ok was in and out in 15mins.

Firstly I would say it is worth a visit despite the few exhibits as it provides a history to Penang and its culture. We were lucky on our visit as we had a free tour guide, a very knowledgeable chap who gave us a lot of information about the site, otherwise the visit would only have lasted half an hour.
The museum have now stopped the free tour as our friends went the next day and were told they were not doing them anymore, so if the museum read this please put the tour guides back as you need them!
Half of the site is under refurbishment but as the guide said it’s been at a snails pace which is a shame.
Despite my 3 star review I would still recommend a visit, it’s only 20rm (£4) for entry.

At least half of this site is closed for repairs as of July 2019, a fact that they don’t reveal until after you pay the 20 Ringgit entrance fee for foreigners. At that price, with those closures, in our estimation it was not worth the cost of entry.

After paying to get in, we were told a section was closed and under repair with completion expected in 15 years. One of the female workers was very informative and the history is interesting
