What you pay is what you get. The website does not tell you about rooms in 2 story Block where the rates are cheaper than the chalet(rm150 weekend rate). if you don't need a fancy verandah, ask for room w bed and shower. you can get a room for one for rm35 but it s full of mozzies !

there are about 10 chalets and many standalone rooms in the tower block. don t expect any views but at least it s clean and basic.

cannot comment of their breakfast buffet except it s eggs, sausages, beans n bread.

if you are having breakfast outside the main road, don t ask for Kopi c as they likely don t have refrigerator to store their carnation milk and you ll get an upset stomach !

The rooms are basic even for a budget hotel. If you're like me and backpacked through Thailand 10 years ago, then this hotel will make you feel like you've stepped back in time.

If you're not impressed with shabby old quarters, you may want to shop around.

Just one street over from this are about 10 new similar complexes that looked equally quaint but fresher. Nipah Guest House is a definite upgrade on this place.

Room Tip: I looked at all the rooms, and the only one that seemed ok was the chalet. The single and economy rooms are just plain depressing.

Villa type villas are good, beds old but quite acceptable, very close to beach, many local food restaurants are around ; but in fasting months all are closed and difficult to find any type of good around! By right after Ramadan must be ok. Breakfast in the hotel are very normal and very basic, AC only useful after sunset day time even morning you can't stay in the rooms, but for nite time is cold enough to have a good sleep. Don't forget to sparky the room before sleeping as mosquitos with bother you a lot! There is spray in each room to use. U just need to cross the road to access beach, and water sports are available close to rent and use. The beach is very nice and quiet to relax and enjoy.

We didn't stay at the Nipah Bay Villa but during our trip to Pangkor, we needed to rent a scooter for just an hour. The staff were friendly enough to accommodate our request and even helped in directing us accordingly to the location that we needed to be at, going out of their way in providing us with some much needed necessities for the trip.

Hospitable staff ensured that the service offered to each of their guests was customised. Although the night life in the area is almost minimal, scenic beauty of the place and welcoming locals ensure that your walks on the beach, any time of the day, are safe and memorable. It is a beautiful island with picturesque beauty. Worth visiting for 3-4 days.
