Car park is available by the street. 5mins drive to city centre. Opposite to a chinese Cemetery. Shower gel provided was awful. Quite noisy at night. There's a pub right beside the hotel. There's a balcony. Hair dryer is provided.

The hotel is quite new, and the room is relatively spacey for a budget hotel. We booked Premier Queen Room, and it has balcony facing the commercial business centre. The bed is comfortable, and the room smells fresh also. Some cons; there is a pub downstairs with open concept karaoke, and the noise was bothering us. The hotel doesn't have any breakfast package, and there is no restaurant at the commercial centre also (which is suitable for breakfast). So you might need to drive somewhere else. There is no toiletries given, except a soap dispenser at the shower area.

Room tip: Choose the one with the balcony.

Location pros: The hotel is located between the city and residential area of Canning garden. It is quite central for visitors who want to visit Lost world of tambun but also be reasonably close to the city. It is approximately 10 minutes drive to Ipoh town centre and 20 minutes to Lost world of Tambun. It is also easy to get an uber if you are not driving as well, plus it is easy to find. The area is also quiet at night so you get a good sleep.

It is also nearby to Ipoh Garden and Canning Garden where you can get access to plenty of the hawker/coffee shop food that Ipoh is famous for.

Location cons: The hotel is located near a grave yard so those who are superstitious may not be keen. Also, because it is a new business area, there are not many amenities near by. Basic necessities can be purchased from the mini mart at the petrol station nearby but the prices are more expensive that a regular convenience store. There is a bar and a small eatery nearby within walking distance, but that's it. Everything else will need transport.

Price:

For RM112 (USD30) a night (twin sharing) I think this place is a steal. Free carpark out front and central locale is a good option. One thing that is lacking with budget hotels in Ipoh town is carpark. Given that this place is a new business area there is plenty of free parking around without the risk of getting a ticket.

Room pros:
Spacious room, comfy bed that is firm but not hard (I have a bad back so this is important to me). Very big bathroom.

Room cons:
Shower stall has no shower curtain so it tends to get the rest of the place wet when you take a shower. Also, being a budget hotel, they do not provide toiletries or disposable amenities (toothbrush, etc). The reception also does not sell these items so you have to bring your own or get them at the next door petrol station. Aircond also takes a while to get the room cool so may want to consider leaving it on an hour or so before bed time.

Summary:
I thought it was good value for money. It is, after all, a no frills budget hotel so don't expect too much. You are basically paying for a comfortable room to rest in during your stay and nothing more. Given the spike in hotel prices in Ipoh recently, this is a good option for the budget traveller. Don't expect 5 star hospitality from the front desk, but they are friendly.

Note: You will need to leave a small cash deposit at the front desk when you stay (RM50 per room) which is refundable upon check out.
