We stayed at the Westin - initially in a garden view room and then were lucky enough to upgrade to a villa - rooms were spacious and well appointed. The rooms were clean and well presented.
The villa was wonderful with its own private pool. Staff were attentive and courteous. Pools were great but beach is so so. Breakfast each morning was excellent - lots of choice and staff looked after us. Tide Restaurant was great - good food and great outlook. Happy hour at the Breeze Bar was great value. Would recommend this resort.

Spent a very enjoyable four nights here with friends. Checkin was very friendly and just a bit slow, but they did have our rooms ready for us. We were in a premium room and it was definitely worth the upgrade. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a huge bed. The pools are excellent and there are lots of sun beds, they have a policy of removing towels after 30 minutes but did not see this happen. We ate in the hotel for the majority of the time and the food was good but a bit expensive. They have a happy hour from 1730 to 2000 and it was two for one on drinks, which was great value.
We did have a problem one night in the bar, I had asked for two Tanqueray gin and tonics with grapefruit. Despite the fact it was not busy, fifteen minutes later no drinks had arrived, so I asked where they were to be told they were on the way. Five minutes later still no drinks, I went to the bad and repeated the order and a few minutes later two gins with cucumber arrived. I took them back and repeated the order once more, and eventually two gins with grapefruit arrived. Unfortunately they had taken out the cucumber and put in the grapefruit instead. They tasted foul. I went to the bar and poured them down the sink and one again repeated the order. Eventually they arrived and very nice they were too, but why it took half an hour in a five star hotel I do not know. This was not the usual though in general everyone was very polite and efficient.
We had lunch two days at Fishermans Wharf which is literally a few minutes walk away, and well worth a visit. The spa in the hotel is lovely but expensive, the spa at Fishermans wharf is nearly as nice and half the price. We did have a good time though and if we ever go back to Langkawi we will stay here again.

Room Tip: Go for a premium room

Recently returned from a 10 night stay at The Westin. We upgraded to a one bedroom villa upon arrival and it was just amazing! Very spacious, very clean and ultra modern with our own private pool which we made full use of everyday only venturing out for cocktails at The Splash pool bar later in the day! The Breeze bar was great for happy hour drinks and a nightcap with entertainment too every night. Tide restaurant steak was out of this world! Buffet nights were great value for money.
Really enjoyed our stay here, all staff were smiley and helpful! We would definitely return.

We enjoyed this hotel and would return.
The Tide restaurant is excellent and the service exceptional, Harold is the star member of staff and he made our holiday thoroughly enjoyable. Always had a wonderful smile and could not have been more charming and helpful.

We visited Langkawi in December and I was confused where to stay and after doing lot of research, we decided to book Westin Langkawi and I must say I was not wrong choosing the resort though there were few minuses as well.

Firstly positive side,
Property is huge and is well maintained
Location is also nice near to ferry point
Rooms were clean and I booked ocean view room which had an awesome room on top floor
There are 3 swimming pools all were great . Best part of the resorts is swimming pool
Food was also good
Staff was helpful and polite

Some minuses
Beach is not good for swimming’s it’s rocky which is little disappointing when to staying on beach resort
Ocean room did not had bath tub ...very strange
Food lacked Indian cuisine
Staff - Gaytri was rude and not at all co operative.
