Booked last minute, John on reception was a great help and very friendly. Staff are polite and helpful. The bar has a nice selection of wines. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast area is charming and has a breathtaking view. The bed was extremely comfortable. Made us wish we could live there.

Yesterday was a cold day in Jbeil. We went to the Byblos sur Mer café at the first floor and decided to have a warm soup. I had a delicious onion soup and my friend a lentil one... After a few minutes, my friend discovered a hair in his soup! Yuk, he complained.
Where did this hair come from? Was it my friend's own hair? No one knows.
Anyway, the waiter's reaction was fast and professional. He didn't say a word, took the soup, left for 5 minutes and came back with another one.
When the bill came, the soup was complimentary.
Ok guys, it happens. I don't judge on incidents, I judge on reactions. There were quick and professional. Fair enough, good move.
I think Byblos sur Mer is the best place to go in Byblos.

No doubt this is the best hotel in Byblos. Great friendly staff. Our room with ocean view was great very clean !! We had fruits and local pastries in our room; definitive a charming welcome!!! Very good Buffet for breakfast with variety of food. We did not try the restaurant for dinner.

While traveling in Lebanon with family and friends several years ago, we happened upon Byblos Our Mer. We spontaneously decided that we would stay after walking through the dining room and seeing the Roman-era ruins beneath the glass floor. We were stunned. But that was just the beginning. When we entered our room overlooking the Mediterranean, we were awestruck by the beauty looking out the balcony doors. The spacious room had a comfortable bed and a roomy bathroom. That evening the front desk directed us to a nearby restaurant, where we enjoyed a fabulous meal. The next day, after exploring Byblos, we dined at the hotel's restaurant. The food dinner was excellent. Anyone traveling to Lebanon who needs a central location from which to start your touring adventures should stay here. You'll not be disappointed.

Absolutely awesome in everyway. Located within the ancient Phoenicia harbour on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, staffed & equipped to cater for royalty and serve the savviest of tastes.

Highly recommended for the friendliest, most modern and best service in Lebanon.
