Plus first: the hotel room was clean, good sized and modern. Staff was prompt. Great value breakfast buffet for 500 yen (if I remember correctly). Laptop rental available, internet facilities available in lobby corner. Good value stay and I would consider staying at this hotel again, though on hindsight, staying around the JR station would be more convenient for transport links and modern shopping (the malls around the JR station are the focal point of the town, tenmunkan shopping arcade is oldish).
Downside: the hotel is not easy to locate, we got lost on a snowy winter's night and was miserably lost until a kind soul assisted us and led us to the hotel (do not get off at the 2nd tram station with a similar sounding name like us). Believe the hotel is on the edge of the red light district, as there were dubious looking males and females loitering around/outside the hotel, and the nearby family mart, over the weekend (less action on Monday). Did not spot any dubious folks or vice activities in the hotel though. It's a little adventure for 2 female travellers like us, but you may not want to pick this hotel if you are a lone female traveller or travelling with children, over the weekend.More
