We stayed two nights at this hotel - once at the start of our trip around Kyushu, and once at the end. The location was excellent - a minute's walk from Hakata station (from which we caught the bullet train and also the subway), and close to a wide variety of restaurants and shops.
For one night we had a deluxe double room, and for the other just a double room - the former had a small sofa and space to allow you to walk around the bed (although not much), in the latter the bed was very close to the wall (with just a couple of inches to squeeze out if need be). The rooms, whilst small (which I understand is standard for Japan) were comfortable and well equipped with a fridge, nice quality toiletries, free WiFi and a hot, powerful, shower.
We paid extra for breakfast one morning because it was convenient - there's an extensive range of Japanese food and a small range of western breakfast items (croissants, fruit etc). If it's the latter you're after, it's probably not worth the money.
We found the staff on the front desk very helpful - they booked us a taxi to the airport, stored our luggage until our train, and helped when we were having problems printing our boarding passes.
If I was coming to Fukuoka I'd stay here again. Highly recommended.More
