This is not a traditional restaurant, the multitalented owner is a gem in Nara.
He handles the reservations, selects the menu, cooks the food, waiters the drinks and does the dishes.
The room has seating for maybe 8-14 people in total so don’t expect to just walk by and be able to have a bite here but make a reservation beforehand. This can easily be done by phone or mail in English.
The food is delicious and non-regular in a positive way. He is able to transform regular tofu into a tasty treat. The tapas is a great set of smaller bites. The chef can be flexible when it comes to vegetarians or pescatarians.
It is not cheap and not expensive and a recommendation to food lovers.
