Don’t miss if you are interested in art and have a spare couple of hours - wonderful exhibition on Emile Galle when we visited but also Monet, Renoir etc, plus Chinese ceramics and well worth the entrance fee. Modern glass building in the trees, good facilities and cafe.

I can't believe we essentially just happened to be visiting a city with this extensive and impressive an art collection. The Pola Museum has some of the finest works by known artists such as Monet and Matisse I have ever seen. It far outshines the Peggy Guggenheim museum in Venice. Leave time to stroll the nature paths surrounding the museum. But skip the overpriced cafe with unfriendly service.

The setting for this museum is beautiful, surrounded by forests and the floor to ceiling windows allowing all the natural light through. Struck us as unusual to have such high quality art in such an isolated location, but we thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

They had Van Goghs/Monets/Picasso's and a great selection of Japanese artists I have never seen before. Good learning experience!

A small museum with a surprisingly large number of Monets and Manets, etc. Chinese and Korean ceramics were also on display. A bright and cheerful atmosphere. Worth the time spent.
