This hotel is in a good location for sight seeing in Hakodate. It is close to the station ( a short cab ride) and walkable to many of the downtown shopping areas ( Red Brick Warehouse) and restaurants. The rooms are small but try to get an ocean view if possible. Everything is very clean as is the standard in Japan. The roof top hot springs are also worth a visit.

The hotel is not close to the JR station, if you want to reach the hotel without driving it's better to ask for a pick-up service. Room is decorated in an excellent manner where a lot of appliances available and guests can blend coffee with the instruments and beans given. My room is facing direct to the bay and old port area so the night view is wonderful.
What is also fantastic is the breakfast offered - consecutively ranked among the top for hotel breakfast all over Japan. Guests can make their own sashimi-don and there're also some good quality deserts made from Hokkaido dairy products.

Just 15 minutes from JR station and good seafood restaurants, with a nearby shuttle bus stop from the airport. But it was very hot and stuffy in mid November (we asked the front desk to unlock the window, which gave us some fresh air so we could sleep). Good baths on the top floor with free popsicles. Expect long queues for breakfast at peak hours, but the food offerings are extensive and high quality such as sashimi (including just a few western dishes). Ask for a room with a mountain view. The 24 square metre twin room is a bit tight with 2 people and bags due to the odd room layout. Peak autumn colour seems to be around mid to late October.

The location is very convenient with all the major tourist spots within walking distance. The hotel has a rooftop onsen and offers a pretty nice breakfast buffet. The buffet has awesome seafood selection. The downside is that the room is rather small for its price.
