This hotel is a disgrace to the entire APA Group name. Room # 914 on the 9th floor: the hallway carpets are dirty, stained, and torn. Inside the room, the window curtains are torn. The room carpet is filthy beyond recognition (see the pictures). The excuse given by the front desk: "the hotel is over 30 years old and hasn't been renovated."

I have contacted the hotel's management, as well as the Motoya executives at APA corporate, but nobody has bothered to reply.

Off-site parking was available opposite the hotel.
The hotel was located next to a post office, perfect for sending postcards.
The room was spacious for the cheap price.
The staff we spoke to were friendly.

Out of all the places I stayed in my two weeks in Japan...this was the worst two nights. The staff was pleasant, but the hotel needs a lot of updating. The room wasn't the cleanest, you could smell the food from downstairs in the elevators and hallways. The bathroom is one of the smallest bathrooms I've seen. It reminded me a lot of a cruise bathroom. I would've spent a little more money to get a better place.
