Owner description: All that remain of this castle, once occupied by the powerful Maeda family, are the Ishikawa Gate, a moat and stone walls.

When i gave 5* its only because of the cherry flowers! When you arrive there the view is absolutely amazing with all the cherry blossom in the front. Beautiful and memorable spot.
Inside is nice, but nothing special.

I was very lucky to be in Kanazawa to see the cherry blossoms, I actually feft very crowded Kyoto a day early to see Kanazawa at their best. The Kanazawa Castle is really the place to be when it come to see the blossoms, more than the Kenroku-en garden, I feel. The best part was how quiet it was, I got to truly enjoyed the beauty in this magical setting. Even without the cherry trees blossoming the castle is a interesting place to visit, I didn't have time to do the free guided tour offered in English but I wish I had.

I like this visit very much. It was our first castle in Japan, so was very interesting to see the difference to the european castles.

Came here as part of an organised tour. Really enjoyed it and amazing place to spend a couple of hours. It wasn’t too busy when we were there.

The location is easy to reach from the main train station. We came by bus to see this castle in the late afternoon. The castle is so beautiful. Quiet and peaceful. You will enjoy the ambiance.
