Staff were very friendly and helpful! Very clean and new interior and exterior! Excellent breakfast with kaisei don and lot other Japanese cuisine, top notch! Wonderful indoor and outdoor hot spring, with free snacks at different times! Easy walk to Omicho Market and department stores, very convenient.
Onyado is the best in all aspects. I will definitely come back again and recommend to my friends!
In March 2024 we went to Kanazawa and stayed at the Onyado Nono Kanazawa Natural Hot Spring. First off you can tell how good it is as most of the guests are local Japanese citizens – they know where best to go. The staff is excellent and the rooms are very clean. It was a bit of a walk from the Kanazawa train station, but not too bad. Cabs are cheap and plentiful if desired. From the hotel we walked to the nearby castle and park. It was snowing a bit, but not too bad. Both were beautiful! If you go to the top floor there’s a freezer with free ice cream anytime – very good! Also at 9:30pm they serve free soba – for a nice bedtime snack. The best part of the hotel is the buffet breakfast. Super selection and the food is really fresh. Fresh tempura. Best part is the seafood – love the salmon roe! The hot spring is also something nice to try. There’s a pool inside and outside. Kind of neat being in very hot water while it’s snowing outside.
Great value and location. The 13 th floor onsen was excellent as was the buffet breakfast. Only complaint was the rock hard pillows. Loved being close to the fish market, Kanazawa Castle, and Kenrokuen Garden. We were able to walk from the hotel to Kenrokuen gardens in about 15 minutes and Kanazawa Station too.
Not good value for money compared to other hotels nearby. The 'modest double' room was the smallest room I've ever stayed at in 5 trips to Japan... smaller than an APA double!
Top floor onsen is great.
Hotel was nice. They have you place your shoes in a locker before entering, which we were unaccustomed to, but the rest of the hotel experience was pretty standard. The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was good for the price. The highlight of this hotel is the public baths on the 13th floor. It was very relaxing coming home from a long day of exploring and soaking in a tub. They also provide free ice cream/probiotic drink/access to a small manga library as well.
