Great location

Originally, we were booked at Crown Plaza right by the station using our points, we cancelled and booked at Mitzu because it was new and I would like to try this brand of hotel. I am glad I did, we booked a corner room which gave us a lot of room for 2 people. We booked the twin room so we have two full size bed. It was comfortable for 2 of us.

Bathroom was decent size and they provided you with all the toiletries, toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, Qtip, cotton ball and etc.

From the Kanazawa station you can take the bus and it stops about 200 ft from the hotel, or take a taxi from the station. Bus was $200 yen per person and taxi for us was around $900 depends on traffic. We used the taxi since the saving is marginal because there were 4 of us.

The castle and garden is about 15 mins walk from the hotel, it is slightly behind the hotel. You walked through a neighborhood which is very quaint and quiet. Hotel can provide you a map.

You can walk to our hotel about 17 minutes so it is also recommended to walk from the station to the hotel while sightseeing.
Also,our hotel is very convenience for sightseeing because near from many sightseeing spots.
For example,Kanazawa castle park,Kenrokuen garden,Omi-cho fish market,Nagamachi bukeyashiki district and more.

Exceeded expectations in every way

This hotel chain in general is excellent value for money and the Kanazawa branch is a pretty exceptional example. The location is great - about 15-20 min walk from train station but only 5 min from Omicho market and 10 min to Korinbo the main shopping drag and about 10-20 mins walk from all the main sights. The hotel is spotless and looks very new, rooms have everything you might need as a traveller and there's a really lovely onsen at the top floor where you can relax and look at the cityscape. Breakfast is also fantastic - they specifically cater a wide range of local dishes with a mix of japanese and Western. The day we were there they had a shabu shabu live station. All for a really reasonable rate.

Our hotel is within walking distance of the main attractions, but there is also a bus stop nearby.
If you take a bus that circulates around the city from this bus stop, Kanazawa sightseeing will be even more fulfilling.
One day free pass is sold at the hotel, so I recommend you to use it next time.
The large public bath is for guests only, but you can use it for breakfast even if you don't stay overnight. We also have daily dishes, so please come again next time.

Very pretty hotel.

Loved the design of the hotel already from the outside, upon entering had a pleasant
perfume, beautiful patterns everywhere - lobby, restaurant rooms just like the photos. I want those design elements in my home! Or at least able to buy those pillows!

Good sized, clean with a simple public bath on top. Would have been awesome if public bath had more to offer, than just one bath.

I would be very happy if you could feel the good old Kanazawa.
Original aromas are used, and art works related to Kanazawa are exhibited everywhere in the building.
I am particular about pillows and mattresses, and I always try to keep the room clean so that customers can spend their time comfortably.
I am sorry for making you feel unsatisfied with the large public bath.
It is difficult to improve immediately, but I will refer to it in the future.

Location. elegance, great food

We picked this hotel because it was close to the Omicho Market and Kenrokuen Garden, both highlights on our tour. It has a great location but much more. This is a very elegant, well-appointed modern Japanese hotel. The rooms are compact but lovely, very comfortable beds, every amenity you could want and internet access, water, tea, coffee etc. are all free. Lovely soft pajamas laid out for you every night. The breakfasts are out of this world. Huge variety of western and Japanese foods served on exquisite Japanese porcelains with a view over a lovely Japanese garden. Lots of lovely modern Japanese art scattered around the hotel. The hotel has its own laundry facilities whose access you can check from the TV in your room. It also has traditional male and female Japanese bathing facilities with fabulous views both from the baths and from our own room. This was a wonderful Japanese experience. Lots of shopping and restaurants also within easy walking from the hotel. 5 stars.

Room tip: Pay extra for the view.

Nice hotel, near tourist area and station

A very nice hotel. Rooms are a good size, with a nice bathroom and comfortable bed. The hotel is nicely furnished and the staff are helpful and attentive. The hotel is an easy 20 minute walk from Kanazawa station and also within walking distance of the local tourist sites. The hotel also has a traditional Japanese bathhouse. Breakfast was very good with Western and Japanese selections available.
