We wanted to relax in Kanazawa and our three nights at UAN was delightful. The superior terrace twin room was spacious, modern, airy and clean. The bath tub with jets was a hit with the toddler and whole family. The UAN provided traditional Japanese house/pyjamas wear were also a nice touch.

We intended to catch local transport from Kanazawa station to the hotel but with several large suitcases found the taxi and uber services well priced and convenient. The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk to the Omicho market for amazing fresh seafood and local food. It's also a very walkable 10-20 minutes to other tourist sites such as the castle, garden and Higashi Chaya district.

The service from staff was wonderful from day dot and they also efficiently arranged for luggage transfer to our next hotel in Tokyo. A special mention to Isobe at front desk for his help and friendly face at free soba time.

Really lovely hotel, lots of little details that make it feel special. Convenient for walking to everywhere you might like to see, but on a quiet street which makes it easy to rest. The staff are so polite and helpful, and I can also recommend the little sake tasting option at the bar. We randomly did it after coming in late one evening and it finished our day perfectly! I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Kanazawa.

Perfectly located in the heart of Kanazawa. UAN is a lovely small hotel and we had a great stay here. Would stay here again!!

The staff are very friendly and the bedrooms comfortable and modern!

The only downside is the AC is right above the bed and had a rather annoying green light on it that lights up the whole room!

The breakfast is a bit of an acquired taste but it fed us well!

It’s incredibly close to the market, downtown Kanazawa and the beautiful Castle gardens!! Ideal.
