Peaceful stay

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 15 July 2015via mobile
We booked on booking.com and we were not disappointed. We had a junior suite overlooking the river and it was great to wake up to the view. Our included breakfast was authentic and delicious. The people at the front desk were extremely helpful in finding various places to visit in the town.

Not being a full ryokan and yet giving the chamce of a good experience of like a Japanese ryokan. Yet alot cheaper. Great in my opinion, full tatami rooms, onsen on the terrace, or public upstairs.
Yukata, pot of water, tv, aircon, the bathroom right up to date and clean, brilliant.
Staff friendly.
Location just kind of off the beaten track, out of.the way a bit if your going to walk, and yet great if your driving.free parking!
Nice to have the terrace windows open and let the fresh air, hear the river run and enjoy the atmosphere of the room.
Menus in english.
Didnt get five stars because of the location in relation to the town center really.
Apart from it alls great.

I stayed on the backside without the river view, but I enjoyed my green tea with birds and spring air in the terrace, and onsen on other floor. It's located a bit away from the center of the city. I regret that I could not have their meal because I reserved the stay at the last minute. No restaurants are around.

Three things make this hotel (I would not call it an inn or ryokan) special: its quiet location on the river bank lined with cherry trees yet within walking distance of all the sights, its traditional Japanese rooms with tatami mats, futons a low table and in our case a small terrace overlooking the river, plus the charming staff. Actually there is a fourth thing: the roof rob communal baths. It is not luxurious, nor particularly stylish, but you feel you are in 'real' Japan.

Passed 3 nights in that lovable spot. Everyone acted in the most friendly, attentive and Beautiful manner Fugi-hashi San in her calm way, Mo-hi San with her ring laugh, and above them all, their beautiful Takada San with her gracious gestures and her infinite attention. Unforgettable dinners and quiet, spacious and clean apartment.

Mostly recommended.

It was our first stay in Kanazawa and after two nights in the very center of Kyoto we were looking for a calm and pleasant location. The Yuyarurusaisai was perfectly located for our one-day trip, at a walking distance to most of Kanazawas cultural attractions. The staff was very friendly and it was a pleasure to stay in the elegant renovated suite room. Only the bathroom looked a bit strange to us but we could enjoy a hot bath with views to the river. Its not cheap but worth the money!
