While this is another large hotel. its better than some. Firstly its easy to find. just leave the station and walk straight along the line for a couple of blocks. Secondly it had one of the better buffet breakfasts included in the price. The rooms are the average size but the layout makes it a bit less clutered. They even have a chair come little table to provide a bit more space and a bench for your case. Its got tv fridge and all the stuff you need in the bathroom

We booked a room for two children and two adults, we got two single beds pushed together.
The staff at the front desk are rude, and do not acknowledge that you are wating for service.
The bedspread was stained with something that looked like blood and body sweat, when we complained about it the manager said it has been cleaned and that the stains are OK and will not hurt us.
We asked him to change the bedspread to another clean one but he argued for an hour, eventually he gave up and two hours later he came back to our room with a new bedspread in a new box, then he complained to us that he shouldn't have to change it and that he was being very generous to us.
Worst experience we have ever had in a Japanese Hotel.

I loved this hotel. Just 5 min. from the station, free breakfast and big bath on the 14th floor! It's a great feeling to take a bath with the view of Kanazawa at the end of the long day.
Everything was clean, a bit hard bed for westerners, but I'll take it. Breakfast was a wide variety (but don't eat too much-- save some space in your stomach because there are many things you should eat in town!)
Though I'm not a non-smoker, I had to stay in a smoking room, but they did a good job to get rid of the smoking smell at room.
Free coffee is available 24/7.
Highly recommended.

Room tip: Free coffee, free breakfast, clean room, big bath with convenient location!

We only spent two nights here but I was really impressed with the staff. As I was leading 16 college students on a 3 week garden tour of Japan, one student became ill and eventually wound up leaving to head back to USA. It was just a stomach bug but in an effort to help I was trying to find something simple for him to eat. The staff helped by pointing me in the direction of a close convenience store to find some rice and then helped me prepare at the hotel and take to his room. Not a huge undertaking but as it was late at night I really appreciated the effort. As I speak virtually no Japanese this was a challenge but we made it through somehow.

As far as hotel goes, it is an easy walk to train station and I found it very easy to find a good running route in the morning which is important to me. Rooms were super clean and breakfasts were wonderful. Just don't go to breakfasts too close to closing or your choices will be pretty limited which is understandable. The architecture of the train station is not to be missed. Kanazawa also has a fantastic bus system leaving from the station which will take you anywhere you want to go.

Stayed two nights here for Golden Week and understandably the hotel was quite full. We booked through japanican (highly recommended!) in January and were prepared! The prices are a little steep for the hotel but also expected this during Golden Week.

The hotel has a free public bath on the top floor (level 14, we did not try) and includes a buffet breakfast which exceeded my expectations. Both western and eastern style selection including scrambled eggs, bacon, rice, salad, miso soup, noodles, japanese style hashbrowns?, bread and pickles.

The room was average size for a twin room in Japan and the decor is quite dated. A saving grace is that there is an in room humidifier and the room temperature is controlled by your own air con with remote rather than centrally controlled - thank goodness as we always get too hot and stuffy in hotel rooms with central heating or cooling! Bar fridge is great to keep any drinks or small groceries cool. There is also an in room TV. The bathroom however is tiny and if you are tall, you will find it hard to change in there. Also after a shower it is super steamy!

Western guests may find the beds a little hard and they only give you one pillow however I still managed a good nights rest. We were on the third floor which is non smoking however there was still a faint smell of smoke in the hallways and in the room - the humidifier really helps with getting rid of this smell and circulating the air.

Staff speak enough English to get by and everything is well managed. I would describe this hotel as functional with the basics and as it is so close to Kanazawa Station (east exit and about 750 metres, easy 10 min walk), it is a reasonable choice for short stays.

The hotel is an easy one street 5 minute walk from the railway station
We booked a twin room which we were told by a fellow traveller was quite a lot larger than a single room.
We checked in and collected our case which we had arranged to be sent directly to the hotel. The check in process was smooth and the hotel reception area was smart and spacious.
The twin room was our home for a week and had enough space for us to unpack.
. We were on the town side which was quiet, there is a rail side.
The bed was comfortable, the bathroom the usual Japanese shower/ hot tub with all singing/dancing toilet.
Breakfast was in an OK Japanese style with coffee and orange juice available.
The top floor has fantastic city views, a useful pay Laundrette, and seperate hot baths.
For the price i would stay there again.

Room tip: Get a room on the city rather than the rail side
