We did the street food tour. Sam our guide took us to the most authentic places we would NEVER have known existed. Some of the local places we ate had no name because it was at just someone’s house (best beef curry in town) highly recommend! To finish the tour at their organic herb farm was such a great experience we will never forget and will tell everyone you MUST MUST go!

This is the best thing to do if you'd like to have a glimpse of local life. After picked up from hotel, we were brought to a local market where Vietnamese ladies get ingredients for their household. The organic farm is beautiful. That was where we had a hands on experience on basic farming skills. The foot and shoulder massage made us relaxed with the green views in front of us. The cooking class, which was the highlight of the trip was filled with fun. We were slicing, chopping, pan frying, deep frying all the fresh ingredients while singing and dancing. The delicious dishes we made satisfied our empty stomachs after all the excitements.

We’ve done a few cooking classes in different countries but this was by far the most interesting and fun. We were picked up from our hotel and cycled to the local market where the chef explained about the market and the farmers who come. We cycled to the restaurant through rice fields where we stopped to take photos of the ducks and water buffalo. At the restaurant we joined four other guests and dressed in local farming hat and shirt for a tour of the garden and how to farm. We then attempted to sculpt tomato and carrot flowers, made deep fried spring rolls, which were the best we have eaten in Vietnam so far, Chicken hot pot, papaya salad and pancakes, which were great fun flipping. After lunch and a couple of beers we we cycled back to the hotel. All staff were so friendly and spoke fantastic English. I would highly recommend this fantastic morning, you won’t be disappointed.

We were recommended Tra Que to do a cooking class, we decided to do a food tour and we cannot fault the whole experience, our tour guide Sam was excellent and spoke brilliant English. We visited a non touristy market where we tried loads of different foods that you don’t get in the tourist areas! The food was amazing! Then went back to the restaurant where we had a massage and tried more homemade food and cooked some ourself! The whole morning was absolutely amazing and cannot recommend enough! All the staff are so lovely, friendly, genuine and also teach you a lot about the Vietnamese culture!
