Omg 4 star !! More like 1 !
Receptionist can't speak a word of English .
They kept out passports in a pile behind reception . Handed them all to find our own .
Changed room 1st day wasn't up to expectations 1st one . Plug sockets hanging out . Spare fridge in room . Dirty shower curtain.
Pool bar only at front, serving basic drinks , gin without tonic , vodka wine beer coke lemonade . Although if your face fitted you would get cocktails and a smile .
Wasp and flys galoure by bat pumps
Entertainment lacking
Lifts dangerous
Carpets need taking up
Food basic and repeated
Slide pool black scum all round the edge
Only 2 umbrellas at the rear pool area.
Ash trays dirty all the time
Key card opened most people's door and if you locked your door of a night when you was in there it can open from outside . So any one could come in of a night
Worst all inclusive holiday I've ever been on.

This review will contradict those previously written, as we were aware of those around us complaining and not enjoying themselves, but I feel we may have been staying in a different hotel to these people, as we did not experience the same!
We travelled as a group of 4 friends (2 couples), late 20s, from the UK, from 7th - 22nd August. We have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and our time at the hotel.
To start with, we were worried on our first day, as on arrival (with it being 4am) the man who served us barely spoke English and we were called the next morning to say we'd be given the wrong rooms. After some deliberation and speaking calmly to the reception manager, we resolved the situation and he admitted he had read it incorrectly and was wrong. He then apologised and gave us better rooms on the 4th floor with a better view and our safety boxes for free. We did notice that our room key also opened our friends door. This concerned us and we heard other guests spreading this amongst themselves also. We told reception we'd heard others talking and that we noticed ours do and he was extremely apologetic and explained - again - the night receptionist had set them to master key on check in. He changed these immediately and sent the engineer to check the whole floor and amend the doors.
I do agree with an aspect brought up in an earlier review, that a main thing that they must improve is their storage and use of guest passports. These were just kept behind the desk in a pile and then when we went to collect ours back, we were handed the whole stack to search through and find our own!! Luckily, guests were honest.
We found out from our rep, 'Ray' that the hotel was currently changing hands and therefore not the hotel it once was. The third pool and some rooms had been sectioned off and were no longer in use, there was no longer any entertainment and the hotel was just beginning to get up and going again. We felt a little disheartened but began the holiday with an open mind.
There are 2 pools, the one to the front with the slides and one to the rear. The slide pool tended to be busy with families (however we did enjoy some slide time on occasion) but we chose to sit around the pool to the rear for the majority of the time, which was extremely quiet throughout the day and we got a sun lounger everyday without a worry. There was no need to reserve, as we could get one at any time of day. Both pools were cleaned every night.
Part way through our 1st week, 'Chico' appeared as the main entertainment guy, along with another acrobatic friend. They were very friendly, spoke really good English and just wanted everyone to have a good time. They ran water polo and darts games through the day and put on evening entertainment each night, including kids disco, Turkish night, Mr/ Mrs Hotel etc.
Other areas of the hotel which were advertised but no longer existed, were the games room, hairdressers, shop, jewellers and night club. These had not reopened. However, there was a gym and indoor pool, on site spa (extra cost for treatments), bowling alley (extra cost) and pool table - which was open the whole time we were there (from day one) however does need new cues.
On the whole, the hotel is very clean. Staff got better throughout the holiday when it came to cleaning around the pool area (glass collecting, cleaning the bar and pumps and tidying of plant areas etc). At first, bar areas were very smelly as it seemed the pumps were not being cleaned - bees loved to swarm these. However, we could tell within the 2nd week these had been cleaned, as the smell faded. Pools were cleaned nightly. Rooms were cleaned by housekeeping every day (they were very pleasant and friendly ladies) and they did a fantastic job. Sheets were changed every 2 days, as were towels.
As in a previous review, yes when we arrived there was no water in the fridge in room - there wasn't any the whole time - but after day one there was a constant supply of water from a filter in the restaurant and bar area. Drinks were a little limited for an all inclusive holiday, and were not working well a lot of the time (e.g. coke would go off at times until they'd fixed it). However the strength of the measures was never an issue and you had to be careful what you asked for, as the limited English ended up in random concoctions of drinks.
Food is one of our main areas for improvement. It gradually got better as the days went on, as you could see they trying to improve their selection/ presentation/ cater a little more for English guests (however there weren't that many English guests), however the selection of hot dishes was limited and lacked variation. We did choose to eat out quite a lot when we got a little bored of the food.
On check out, our transfer pick up was not until 9pm. We asked the receptionist if we could keep the room longer than the usual 12 check out time and she let us have the room until 6pm - free of charge - which was excellent, as we had the whole day as normal to enjoy.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Mainly because we didn't focus on the negatives and got on and enjoyed ourselves. Yes there are many areas to improve, however we could easily see that they were trying to do that each day and when we had a problem and we brought it up in a calm manner with reception, then it was dealt with straight away. The hotel has so much potential and when the improvements are made, would be fantastic. But at the minute, many improvements are still needed to develop it, however we still enjoyed our time and had a fab 2 weeks! The location of the hotel is fantastic, restaurants and bars on the doorstep, 10 minute walk to the beach and quick bus ride (2/3 lira each (50p) ) to the harbour - which we made use of and went out and about a lot, enjoying the sites, trips and bars!

Gulabo81 has just written a good long and accurate review (must have been there same time as us) so I will try to keep it short.
Main things to add to that review is terrible wifi! Dirty pool water (well most things were dirty except rooms) and death trap waiting to happen!

I have given poor rather than terrible as we did get a free upgrade to a suite which was ok on the 2nd day and also they let us keep our room until departure.

We are pretty laid back easy going and I have been on lots of all-inclusive's. I have never felt the need to write a review before.

Our first morning we ventured out to the kids play area to let the toddler have a play and I was truly disgusted! Human waste, Toilet roll, Nappys, Dirt, Mold and rubbish everywhere. The pool toilets were the same.

To start with the staff were horrible but they improved as the week went on. Probably only because everyone there was talking about suing. If you want a drink (at the one and only open bar) be prepared for a wait while they ignore you playing with their phones.

There was a poor guy with his daughter (who I'm sure will be on here once he gets back) The balcony collapsed on his daughter, Inward thankfully! She got stuck in the elevator doors and they had random strangers walk into there room one night. He had to goto hospital with chest pains from the stress.
I hope they are ok and will be home soon. They fully deserve a full refund and compo!

Other than that:
Below average food and drink
Frame for the slides is rusted through and probably going to collapse soon.
Elevator doors are a death trap.

Its a shame. Quite a good size and location. A few nice staff but it is in serious need of repairs and cleaning.

Room Tip: Another hotel!

The rooms are filthy and dangerous with sockets hanging out of the walls. The food is disgusting and always the same. The staff are rude and unhelpful. The water slides have no lifeguards and there is no entertainment ever. There is one bar outside and it is always running out of the proffered all inclusive drinks. For the love of your family stay away whatever you do. We had to eat out every night and the local restaurants are lovely and friendly, so there is no excuse for the vile prison-style food they serve to their guests. I have to give this hotel 1 star because cannot give zero stars but this place would qualify. I expect this place to die the death it so richly deserves. Electrical sockets hanging out of the wall, waiters kicking dropped food under counters, no safety around the pools, horrid, horrid hotel. On the plus side, Marmaris a nice place to visit.
