the only negative of this hotel was that at time staff let grumpy side show every now and then. this being said the hotel rooms were cleaned once a day and to a immaculate standard. The food was delicious and on the one occasion it wasn't the staff quickly brought another meal out with no charge. the entertainment was fun and interesting and whenever an issue arose i.e a towel missing. it was always dealt with swiftly. prime location, 5 minutes walk from the beach, marina and market. mararmis is beautiful and i would only stay here again after talking with guest from other hotels.

Room Tip: bottom floor. people run out in the morning to get sunbed. give yourself an advantage and its cooler at night.

I liked the services "hamam", spa, etc. But I dont trust the pricing policy. I drank a water, it costed 5 TL!!! I shocked! I will never visit there again. There are many other alternatives around Marmaris.

We spent 2 weeks here in July 2012, booking through Thomson. We are a family of 2 adults and two girls aged 12 and 7, our 7 year old is in a wheelchair. We had a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool. The room was hot and there was air conditioning in the bedroom but not in the lounge, so we moved the kids sofa bed into our bedroom. The bathroom and kitchenette were more than adequate (we were self catering) We had a TV (you can buy extra channels or just have the news) Fridge and toastie maker. The hotel shop was handy, but for a bigger shop we went to Kippa (Tesco). Walk up to the mosque, turn right to the main dual carriageway, turn left and it's about a 5 minute walk. There is also a little corner shop by the mosque that was comparable in price to Kippa but had less choice. The hotel was clean, the pool was cleaned every morning and was a good size, with a large slide and a shallower pool too. Unfortunately there were the usual early towels on the sunbeds, but we expect that these days. The bar was not too expensive and had happy hours everyday, food was good but we only had snacks and a couple of breakfasts (you find a full English ridicoulously cheap at most restaurants nearby- just remember tea and coffee are normal price) The pool entertainment starts about lunchtime and includes aquarobics, volleyball, darts, and pool. Evening entertainment is very good especially Friday nights BBQ. Thomson's kids club is air conditioned, and as it was 35-40 degrees whilst we were there it was good to get the kids out of the sun for a bit. We took two trips whilst we were there, Dalyan boat cruise which we really enjoyed to the mudbath, Tombs and Turtle beach, then we did Thomson's pirate boat cruise which was good for the kids and swimming in the sea. The hotel is a short walk down to the beach and town shops, just go up to the mosque turn left and keep going past lots of restaurants and bars etc till you hit the sea and bazaar. We ate out every night and found the harbour area to be really good, some places charge extra down here but we found the Oyes restaurant to be suprisingly well priced and excellent food.

Room Tip: Apparently the top floor rooms were very very hot in the evenings as the heat rises during the day.

Having just returned from a weeks stay at the club candan, I would recommend it to all British holiday makers, as it fits the bill for a top quality hotel in marmaris. We had two self catered apartments, with pool view which I would definitely recommend as the other view is not very pleasant. In relation to our rooms, they were spacious, clean, and everything you needed, the cleaning was daily, with fresh towels provided as well as extra upon request.

A special part of our stay at this hotel was thanks to CURLY and SAM - turkeys very own 'TONI & GUY' and a lot better..amazing Turkish shaves and haircuts, and genuinely two of the funniest and nicest people we met, so if you plan on staying here you must visit them :)

In relation to excursions, as previously recommended on here we used mustafa, who's office is situated round the corner, he gave us an amazing deal and never let us down, much cheaper than the thompson deals, and willing to go that extra mile for us..

And lastly, although we didn't use the hotel restaurant much, we found a place called palace restaurant, where the owner serves up some amazing breakfasts, all fresh and served with real care, he really does treat you amazingly well and I would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting an amazing meal, at great value.

Room Tip: Poolside, wouldn't choose any other, you'd miss out.

just returned from one of the best holidays weve had. me and the wife arrived at hotel in the early hours and staff could not do enough for you.rooms were very clean and bedding changed regularly also towels everyday.poolside restaurant was very nice and staff very friendly.there is a hairdresser on the complex called curly i would recommend any man or woman to go there as he does a great turkish shave and the lady called angel gives the ladys a great pedicure all at a good price.all the restaurants around marmaris were very cheap to eat at got our cheapest breakfast for 50p now that is good value.all local beers are cheap but you will pay over the top for imported beers.had a fantastic time and cant wait too go back next year.

Room Tip: our room was at the front of hotel the view wasnt much but at the end of the day you only sleep there and everything you need was in the room
