Came here at night to watch the dancing fountains, amazing!!! water is lit up in different colours whilst shot up in the air in spirals etc, different music is played, the kids (8,6) loved it because they got soaked as they were right at the front, but you can stand back to not get wet. toilets available although you were charged (1tl i think it was) also places to get food and drink. well worth a visit.

From each Hotel in Marmaris and in order to go shopping you should take the bus to Ataturk. Near it there is many markets and changing offices and many take away restaurant.

Ataturk Park is a great place to either take your children to play on the swings etc, sit on the grass under the trees. And watch all the boats and Yachts on the sea. A fantastic place to visit. And in Honour of Mr Ataturk.

Ataturk Park is where the Turks spend some of their leisure time having a barbeque with the family. It's lovely to see them swinging the babies in a sheet whilst the men a busy cooking. Barbeques are plentiful, you just wait for one to come free , and the Turks often offer to share their food - it's part of their culture. It's a cool and peaceful place where you can watch the turtles and fish in the streams or just sit about under the trees and enjoy the quiet. Toilets are Turkish, so be prepared!
