After staying at the D Resort in Gocek for a week, I can say that the experience was unparalleled. I had stayed in other beach resorts on the southern Turkish coast, none of which compare. The beach was beautiful, the hotel accommodations were amazing. Cocktails were great, as was the hotel's location in the center of town. The hotel's beach restaurant, The Breeze, was especially relaxing while offering a variety of delicious food. The friendly staff made it an even better experience.
Shout out to Hakan who always greeted us attentively with a smile!

Room Tip: main building is the best-- closer to breakfast buffet

There was wifi on the beach.. if thats not amazing, i dont know what is...
The rooms were extremely nice and the beds were so comfortable. The shampoos and lotions smelled so good. Everything you could ask for was provided
The front desk exchanged money with NO fees at all. The staff was made up of the nicest, kindest, friendliest people imaginable.
The hotel restaurant was superb, absolutely outstanding, as were the cocktails and beach bar service. The beach was the best in Gocek with beautiful clean sand and turquoise water. Breakfast was always good. Fantastic gym with great machines and weights-- workout was better than at my local gym. The hotel grounds were also beautiful, right in the middle of the quaint town center, with shops, markets, and restaurants. We felt right at home and can't wait to go back.

A True Gem in South West Turkey ! The ideal place, situation ,accomodation, food, all this complimented by the Amazing Staff! From first reception to final goodbyes nothing is too much trouble for them & everthing in the D - Resort runs with the precision of a Swiss watch !

Super, smashing, lovely and everything in between! This was our 2nd visit to Gocek but the first to DResort.

We were greeted on arrival by a group of people eager to make sure our holiday started how it would continue. We were offered home made lemonade and a refreshing cold towel (don't even get that at The Shard!) whilst checking in. We were then given a brief tour of the key areas of the hotel and personally shown to our room. Our luggage swiftly followed.

We had booked an attic room and although this is not one of their top rooms it was lovely with a beautiful four poster bed with a duvet and brushed cotton sheets (love a duvet!), lovely design and colours throughout. The bathroom offered a large monsoon shower and Molten Brown products. The room was serviced twice a day and water refreshed. Turkish towels and robes also gave an authentic feel. There is a limited view from the balcony but nice to have outdoor space and sit out in the evening. We spend minimal time in the room on holiday anyway so no issue to us at all.

We visited the spa which offered the same high end experience with ESpa products. We loved our couples hamman experience and the beautiful spa garden.

The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and staff are friendly and wanting to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The breakfast is amazing...anything you could possibly want. The omelette, pancake and waffle station was run very efficiently and always with a smile.

The pools are also lovely and plenty of sun beds during our visit. Most people seem to head to the near by beach which again is a 5 star experience. Service here can be a bit hit and miss but tricky to keep an eye on everyone with so many people I guess. Maybe a flag system for service could work here.

We ate at the new Q Lounge and this was one of the highlights of our holiday meals. The Japanese style tapas food was outstanding and the setting very memorable. The front of house chap here could not be faulted and keen to get your feedback. It's located overlooking the beach which is a short buggy ride away from the main hotel. DJ playing some chilled out tunes and a very unique vibe.

A few reviewers have mentioned the mosque....for us this is all part of the experience of visiting this beautiful country. It did not disturb us at all and on the couple of times we did hear it we went straight back to sleep. The chimes from the lift were actually more annoying!! The rooms are very well soundproofed we didn't hear any noise from other guests and the air conditioning super quiet.

It is not cheap (that said only about the same as UK prices) but then you wouldn't expect a 5 star hotel to be but there are numerous eating options in beautiful Gocek to mix things up a bit.

The staff at every level make this holiday experience special. Even down to the several people who gathered to wish us well as we left. Can't wait to go back...if you couldn't tell!

We are just back from a wonderful week at the D-Marine, and I cannot praise this establishment enough - for a start it is much better than many 4-star hotels.

From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, the whole experience exceeded any reasonable expectations.

Starting with some of the issues that others complained about - we were there during Ramadan so we expected to hear some noise from the mosque (if you do not want to hear mosques, do not go to a Muslim country), in our room we could hear no noise not even in the middle of the night (and our room was very close to the mosque); I checked the hotel WiFi there was about 5.5Mbits available and it was certainly adequate for email and internet radio (I could not get a reasonable service for internet TV); the staff all spoke excellent English and nothing was too much trouble for them - the customer service was outstanding, and I cannot thank the staff for making our visit so enjoyable.

The next thing to comment on is the breakfast - we have never seen a breakfast quite like it, there is something for everyone, the choice is remarkable and the quality outstanding. I have updated some photos that give some idea about this. I am surprised about the comment on there not being enough room to move around - that is simply because there is so much choice, people need time to browse - there is plenty of room and at no time in the week we were there was there a problem, and all the food is regularly refreshed. If you want to have a cooked breakfast there is choice there too, but we stuck to the wonderful fruits, breads, olives, cheese, jams etc.

The standard room we were in was bright, fresh, with A/C that made almost no noise, and three different pillows (and there was a pillow menu with further options), the room had a wonderful shower, and plenty of storage space. Bottled water was regularly refreshed, and the room was cleaned twice a day.

The beach is about 10-12 minutes walk away, but buggies were always available, we never waited when leaving the hotel by buggy, and if a buggy was not already available at the beach the longest wait was about 5 minutes.

At the beach and at the pool free towels are available at all times, and cold flannels are brought round, and there is plenty of staff to take drink/ice cream orders etc.

There are three restaurants (the third open mid-June), the Olive Tree, Breeze and new Q-Lounge (which services Japanese style food). The Olive Tree is open for Breakfast, lunch and dinner - we only used it for Breakfast. The Breeze and Q-lounge are back at the beach, the Breeze is wonderful, the food and drink are excellent. We only visited the Q-lounge for a drink, but if we go back we will definitely be eating there - the architecture and views are wonderful, and the food we saw looked super. The cost of eating at the hotel restaurants is more expensive than eating in town, but the quality is outstanding and as a result is good value for money.

Returning to the staff, they are well turned out, extremely well trained, speak good English, and really made our stay. We cannot thank them enough.

The D-Marine sets itself high standards, it exceed a 4-star rating at every level, and we cannot wait to return.
