Fantastic views and very close to the Mevlana museum and mosque.

The hotel is a bit dated and rickety but very well maintained and has a very helpful staff.

The breakfast was perfect and very filling even though it was a cold one.

The staff barely understand English but they make a large effort to be helpful.

Drinking water is bottled and you will need to ask for it from the reception. Our children enjoyed riding the elevator to go down and get us some bottles for the night everyday.

The hotel is surrounded by markets and you will find many tourist items cost a lot less than Istanbul.

I spent 1 night in this Hotel and unfortunately ended up in a room on the 3rd floor which was smelly and unpleasant.
It seems that there are "smoking" and "non smoking" floors which I later became aware of.
The bright reception is deceptive. My room was very small and the mattress has springs coming through, the sheet was threadbare as were the towels. The blanket looked unwashed and the whole experience was awful.
Breakfast was open buffet located in the basement and was not bad.
The location is minutes from the Museum and central but there are many other hotels nearby which look newer. The tram line is nearby.
There are restaurants within walking distance mostly offering kebab type food.
The back of the hotel is quieter as there are many mosques nearby.

Room Tip: the back room are more quiet the front is noisy.

Mevlana Sema Otel is practically across the road from the Mevlana Museum. It is a great landmark too, if you're new in the city.
The hotel itself is a tad bit gloomy and tired. The rooms could have been bigger. The staff seemed exhausted and reluctant to have a late night visitor. The WiFi worked only in the lobby area - and there too, was a bit scratchy. But if you're in for a couple of nights only - pick this one for location. Otherwise, let it pass.

Hotel location is close to Mevlana Museum just cross the street. Hotel is economical and most of the time you can find a room just walk in but in the season best way book the room before start trip. Hotel staff is nice and helpful.

After arriving in Konya at 2 pm.we finally and very lucikly after 4 hours of going around different hotels found this one, which allowed us to stay .We are a couple who have been together over 3 years but are not married and therefore had great difficulty finding somewhere to stay in Konya.

The room was on the back of the hotel and was quite dark .. This was due to the bad weather and also the dark decor. The bathroom was functional but, could do with some updating . The bottom sheet on the bed didn't quite fit the mattress which, I found annoying . We checked out too early (morning flight) to sample the breakfast.

The location of the hotel is brill as it is right opposite the Mevlana Museum.

All in all we were only in the hotel for 10 hours..We were just very grateful we found a bed for the night rather than having to sleep on bench at the airport .

Taxi from hotel to airport was 40TL
