This is really worth the effort. It is not difficult. Mainly steps but an easy walkway. Amazing views from the top. Plenty of handrails
As with many sights in Turkey, they have ramped up the entry fees for foreign tourists - increases are fine but the degree really leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.
In this case, 250 TRL per person which in the grand scheme of things is not that much but their approach turns people off.
The castle itself is nice and interesting - a good umber of decent photo opportunities both inside and outside the castle.
Is it worth the entry fee? Maybe. Should you visit? Would recommend.
Perhaps only thing to make one feel better, it is still much cheaper than other sights in Istanbul!
Sitting high up on top of a mountain, originally a fortress during the end of the Byzantine era and the early Ottman period. Later inhibited by the locals. What an architectural marvel.

Very impressive ‘building’. Beautiful pictures include surroundings. From the top a great view. The small gozleme eatery is a must. Non commercial and government funded to get women into the workforce.
