"Bacacan" was a word which I heard for the first time in Turkish! In fact, when I was booking, I thought that it was "Babacan" which means "paternalistic", "friendly" in Turkish. When I came to the Hotel I realized that its name was Bacacan ("Baca": chimney, Can: the name of the son one of the hotel owners). Baca / Chimney was a reference to the building's original function; an old factory building... Anyway, this hotel has a very good location and very good facilities... It is not a beachfront hotel but has a private pier for the ones who may like to swim.
We had a dinner and breakfast there. The service was good, Miss Ayse who served us was really good-willing and hard working young lady... But the meals and breakfast were average... If it had not been terribly raining and we were chasing after the latest "Medicane"! we would have prefer to go to Cunda or central Ayvalik restaurants for dinner...More
