“Otel Cennet Side”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2012

Stayed here in may 2010 nice location set in beautiful gardens with the orange and Lemon tree's in full blosom you could pick the fruit from the tree as you went to your room, Rooms were ok not the ritz but clean and maid service daily also towel art left for you on your bed a lovely suprise with fresh flowers added into your room on some days.
Down side was the sunbed mats were 2 lira per day and you only got 1 towel per week they were 2 lira to change so bring your own
The Beach was lovely and very clean the hotel is very well located and the nightly entertainment was not too bad but minimal. Only bad side was the hotel photgrapher who bugged us at every chance he got to take pic (Eddie) we said no in the end and he never spoke to us again... not a good.
All the staff were polite at service the Wine was free at dinner but you would have to ask for a re fill they did not seem to like this!!!
Yes lots of Germans but were all fine said good morning and good evening no problems there just the usual owel and sunbed thing they have to do every day. The pool was cold and smaller the the pic but the pool bar was nice.
SIDE TOWN IS BUZZING I LOVED ALL THE SIGHTS AND THE BOAT TRIPS ARE A MUST.
All in All a nice hotel lovely location.... would i go back there YES!

Room Tip: Ask for Garden Veiw.

When we arrived at about 11pm we were shown to an appartment at the back of the complex. We had booked a twin room. Though the cleaners did their best the bedroom floor had the most badly stained carped that we have seen in a hotel. The beds were very uncomfortable and the aircon and a nearby generator kept us awake most nights. The room looked nothing like any photos in the brochure or internet. Though most of the staff had very little or no English we managed with our little knowledge of German. Unfortunately the food was geared to the Germans as well. When we go to Germany we eat German foods so when we go to Turkey We expect Turkish food. Though the soups and salads were excellent we found any cooked food, meat and vegetables were very overcooked. Though we stayed half board we found it more comfortable to eat elswhere some nights. The second week we had to share a table in a hot stuffy part of the restaurant because a large german family wanted to sit together. The restaurant manager made it clear he prefered the german patrons and to add insult to injury on our last morning he came to our table while we were eating and said goodmorning, picked up our room number and said goodbye and walked away. Would not recommend the Cennet.

Completely agree with every comment in Jenna R's review. We would not normally choose a beach holiday but went here as my daughter is also a travel consultant, in Side for her second year. We were surprised at how much we enjoyed our stay and could not fault the hotel or staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view, top floor

I stayed in the Cennet Hotel for one week.. September 6th 2011 onwards. I had concerns having read prior reviews. I can only summise those people stayed in a different hotel or have attitude problems. Yes the staff can converse in German, not for any other reason other than the client base is mainly German. Side would not be what it is today if it were not for the masses of German tourists who have been holidaying there for the last 10 years plus. The hotel is positioned in my opinion on the best part of the beach with plenty of beach in front of the sun bed areas. It is also an easy walk into Side town centre approximately 1 kilometre away, and this takes about 20 minutes, or you can do what I did, hire a bike, then the whole 8 kilometres of beachline is easy to explore. The food in the Hotel is served buffet style and without doubt there is plenty of choice for everyone, they even do 'chips' for the 'chavs' but they are called 'potato tongues',so no need to go to Blackpool after all! And there is lots of it, yes I know dinner is served at 7.00pm and you like to eat late, well thats one way to put on weight without trying! The rooms are spacious, I had room 113, maid service was on the ball, the rooms are secure, cleaned daily and have airconditioning, you have a small terrace or a balcony. Entertainment a good selection, if you are picky, then go into Side or to the Bars on the promonade were live music or bands are playing. Hotel staff are more than helpfull, the rules are simple, you be nice to them and they will bend over backwards to help you. Money can be exchanged at the front desk at a very good rate. If you want a full range of shops, the go to nearby Manavgat, it will cost you 10 Euros each way in a Taxi, It is worth the trip just to walk round the main' Mosque '. There are lots of other interesting things nearby just go to the 'welcome meeting' to see your holiday rep. Safety on the strret, no problem, not for me anyway, and the police station is only 150 metres from the hotel, and there are always foot patrols about, they want you to be safe, they want you to feel safe. The good news is, as yes the 'Lager Louts' have not discovered Side, so the whole area has a different feel to it. Would I stay at the Cennet again, yes, to me it looked to be one of the best hotels on the beach. Would I recommend the Cennet to anyone, yes, without any hesitation whatsoever.
