This is a fab club med resort. You are not overwhelmed or harrassed by GO's wanting to sit next to you during meal times, the kids are entertained all day with a variety of activities from morning to night. Great effort goes into all the shows for all ages and not just in french either. The Bungalows were great and enough storage space for everyone - very convenient walk. Took some time to get use to the scale of the resort but it did not take long to suss out the pool parties and 24/7 food everywhere. Watch out for the crepe man that appears around 4ish. Quality of food not as good as Da Balia - however fantastic choice (can be repetitive though). Chief of the resort - hardly saw him apart from on stage, did not really do any walkabouts! It is well organised, well presented, beach is abit gravelly but nice all the same. Best pool was the separate kids pool by the mini club accessible to everyone - the slides are fab even for a grown up like me! Went on diving course each morning which was well organised and fantastic views. I would defintely go to this resort again. One small tip - would be great to have a larger adventure playground for a good mix of ages. Don't try the thai massage if you plan to walk the next day - it was a killer!

We stayed in the Club Med for 2 weeks with our 17months old baby and REALLY ENJOYED IT!!!!. This place is fair value for money: food buffets are absolutely incredible and all staff fantastic ' GO's as well as GE's. Baby sitting is too expensive, however, we managed to spend fantastic evenings with our www.bebetel.com. Very wide range of daily activities available - all of them with great service and, most importantly, fun and enthusiasm. In spite of the fact that our son was too young to join the baby club, we spent wonderful holidays. All aspects related to having a baby were careully though of )including "baby room" available with all baby food at any time day and night. Recommendation: stay in the Villaggio. This place is a lot more welcoming (with beautiful gardens), charming, better located and far less noisy than the hotel.

We just returned from our second trip to Club Med Palmiye and we just can't say enough good things about it. We went for the first time last May with two young children (then 3 & 5) and my in-laws. It was fun for everyone - so much so that we decided 7 days wasn't enough and this year we went for 9. This year all 6 of us went back for the same week in May (English half-term holidays) and while we were excited, we were also a bit nervous that it might not live up to the first experience. We needn't have worried - it was fantastic.

Palmiye is a stunning club with beautiful and immaculately tended grounds, a great hotel, three pools (one dedicated to kids) and plenty of sporting activities. We stayed in the hotel, rather than the bungalows, and while it was a bit of a walk from the hotel to the kids club each day, we wouldn't do it any other way. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are light and nicely decorated, and it's quiet.

There is so much to do, but you can also be plenty happy doing nothing at all there. The kids absolutely loved the Petit & Mini Club (this year they were both in the latter as they were both over 4) and couldn't wait to go every morning. The kids can stay there from 8:45am to 5:30pm every day or you can take them out for lunch or whenever you like. They can also return to the kids club at 7pm to eat with the G.O.s and then see a show designed specially for the kids. We let the kids decide each evening what they wanted to do and it was about 50-50 between wanting to eat with us and being with their friends & the G.O.s. They also organize a few activities from 4:30-5:30pm that they encourage the parents to attend with the kids - like the Pool Party. The staff is very warm and friendly and my girls loved them. You really feel comfortable leaving them at the Mini Club.

But this club isn't just for families with kids. There is plenty to do for the adults. We particularly enjoy the waterskiing, tennis and even flying trapeze (something neither my husband or I had tried before, but which we both loved once we did). We also enjoyed sitting by the pool and reading books or engaging in the fun poolside dancing and activities. If that isn't for you, there is a pool in front of the hotel that is decidedly quieter. But once you've been at Club Med for a few days, you might find the communal and fun vibe will rub off on you and you'll want to get up and dance before lunch. After the dancing and right before lunch, the G.O.s also organize a fun activity at the Villagio Pool (the livelier of the 2 main pools) such as kayak racing, water polo, swim races, in-pool couples dance competition, water tube racing, etc. Anyone can join in or you can just be a spectator. We loved it.

Also of note is the excellent food and service. People are friendly and the staff is very service oriented. We really enjoyed the convenience of everything being all-inclusive - it was so nice to never think of money and to go up to the bar as many times as you wanted to get a latte or a cocktail - whatever - and never have to pay. They even have steps up to the Villagio Bar so that the kids can order their own drinks there (my daughters loved it). The only downside of the great food (and the fact that you can find it just about all day long), is that you can easily put on some weight while you're there!

My only advice is: (1) stay in the hotel (I have head the bungalows are dark and not as nice), (2) stake our your lounge chairs in the morning even if you don't plan to use them until later, and (3) try everything - including trapeze, and definitely don't miss the show that the circus school G.O.'s put on (this year called Evita). Book now - it's great!
