“Delphin Palace - Really impressed”
Reviewed 25 May 2012

We stayed at the Delphin Palace Hotel over Easter.

It's a 5star all inclusive hotel.

Really impressed with it! The staff were excellent. Food choice massive and number of restaurants were also impressive. Water slides for the kids. Outdoor pools (2) and indoor pool plus another outdoor pool and fairground attractions for kids!

Even the mini bar was free!!! Took £300 worth of Lira for spending and came back with £100, and that's only because we went to a couple of markets.

Definitely going back! - maybe to their new Imperial hotel once its built.

Best all inclusive hotel I've been to.

Only negative is the staff were more fluent in German as opposed to English so meant things had to be re-explained a few times.

Thanks,
Ritesh

i got back last friday from the delphin palave after spending a week with my wife and 2 young girls age 1 and 3, all i can say about this place is it is a fantastic place to stay, and when they say all inclusive they really mean all inclusive there is something to eat and drink throughout the day and night when the buffet finishes for breakfast there will be a snack bar open which may have pizza, when that closes there is another snack bar with kebabs then another buffet for lunch then a few more snack bars open before the evening meal which you can go to the buffet or book one of the 7 all inclusive ala carte resteraunts, even after 12 midnight the room service is avalible till 6am with a varied menu and both soft drinks and alcoholic drinks will be brought to your door. the pool is a good size and the is water polo twice a day for the blokes and a pool game every day for all along with a packed animation programme which is provided by the best animation team i have ever met they are very helpfull funny and always find time to come and speak to you my favourate guy was ziggy becouse he is 1 funny guy and made me laugh so much also great animators are musty, typhoo, and john. a big hello to you all from mark, michelle, ruby and ebony if you are reading this. the bar staff are also very good who like to serve you from where you are sitting rather that you getting up off your seat there a bar staff around the pool who serve you drinks on roller blades and also young lads who walk around with trolleys fullf of drinks all day who really want to give you drinks all day. beach also on the hotel was a very short walk and of course all inclusive i spent some time every day waling down to the moonlight bar trying to get the little one to sleep which give me a minute to have a sneaky beer. the transfare from the airport was only about 20 minutes so was really pleased with that giving that our flight was delayed and it took 13 hours from our house to our hotel which took 11 hours going home to liverpool as our flight was from manchester so beware of a long day or night travelling which is a bit of a ball ache. my only complaint about this hotel was the bed matress was not as comfy as what i am used to be at home but im just been picky and you dont notice after drinking all inclusive drinks for the majority of the day........anyway i can go on and on about how great this hotel is i could write a book on it and if anyone has any questoins i would be happy to help out...i recommend this hotel to anyone who is after a relaxing holiday.....

Like so many we got bumped from the Delphin Diva to the Palace – which I think is no bad thing. The Palace is certainly the superior of the two hotels, although it probably could do with a little updating.
Our first room was on the 8th floor and – honestly – was like a maid’s room. My feet hung over the bed and – slightly exaggeration here – nearly hit the far wall! Yes, that small. We had asked to move rooms only to be told that every room was the same. Not true, we asked again in the morning and were shown two more rooms on the second floor. They were far, far superior, even the beds were bigger, so we settled on a side sea view and never looked back.
This is a very friendly hotel. All smiles, all singing, all dancing. You sit down for breakfast and your order of coffee, tea, orange juice, espresso, cappuccino, macchiato is immediately taken. Outside there’s a small play area for children – which I thought would be hell if you were trying to get your child to eat breakfast, but my days of Mum to a small child have long past!
The beach is lovely, sandy with just a small pebbly area as you make your way down to the water’s edge. Pool area nicely kept – although we’re confirmed beach lovers.
There’s a snack bar in the shade which serves an adequate lunch – snack being the operative word here. The burgers were awful, but salads good.
Main restaurant food was very good. Lots of cooking stations, never too crowded – a joy! My big criticism of the hotel was the a la carte restaurant – absolutely dreadful. Our first visit was to the French restaurant. For starters we were given: frog legs – fine – croquet potatoes and onion rings – both of which could have come from Iceland (the shop, not...) We left after conceding that the food was totally awful and went back to the main restaurant! The following night we went to the Italian – again we finished our dinner in the main restaurant.
The staff are what makes this hotel outstanding. They really are there to please and I can honestly say I have never had such good service anywhere. All the way from reception to the cleaners – they are well mannered and jovial.
Outdoor seating in the main hotel is in the foyer at the front – not practical at all. People are coming and going whilst you’re having a drink. I did find this aspect very annoying as it’s only a small area with tables at a premium.
After a week we moved to The Imperial where it was the other way round – the staff are running around like headless chickens never seemingly having time for you. However, The Imperial is certainly the superior hotel in terms of decor and food – even the ‘Champagne’ is better at the Imperial and the cocktail list is far more comprehensive. Palace guests can invade the Imperial from 5-6 in the evening and I’d advise you to nip down the beach – about 150 metres – and indulge in the fantasy which is the Imperial. And if you want to visit the Diva, it’s about another 50 metres on.
All in all a great hotel, but it’s newly built little brother will certainly be eclipsing the Palace when it comes to TA ratings. I certainly would have given it 5 stars if we hadn’t stayed in the Imperial for that final week.

Room Tip: Small rooms on the 8th floor - avoid at all costs!
