Stayed at Lara beach last Oct. Lovely beach and the weather was brilliant. Stayed in the Limak Delux Hotel. Not much to look at from the road side of the hotel but great from the beach. Loved how close it was from the airport. there in around 25 mins. Brilliant.

We were staying all the way at the end of Lara beyond the Marden Palace and really missed having a beach that you could just walk along so we decided to make a day of it and walked all the way from our hotel, along the Strip to actual Lara Beach proper. We were glad that we did as the beach was lovely and clean, even in Winter and was completely empty. It was perfect for us as we just wanted a wind swept walk, listening to the waves crash, however anyone visiting in winter and expecting any facilities would be disappointed. I expect it would be glorious in the Summer though.

This is a beautiful area to spend the day, especially if you have a buggy. You can see turtles nests and lost of undeveloped scenery. There is one bar for refreshments and lunch but other than that it's a peaceful area. We did see cars however I would recommend visiting in a buggy to enjoy some light off roading.

Took the Bus KL08 from Kaleiçi, it stops right at the beach. Beautiful sandy beach, reminded me of Cox's Bazar in my home country but with less crowd. The "Sandland" is nearby, which is a great tourist attraction.
