The best part of this hotel is the location - even though its slightly out of the city, it is still surrounded by a wonderful beach and a hilly view on the backside. There are also great connections to the city by 'small green busses' which is really cheap. The hotel is generally clean and has air condition on when needed.
However, there are some very dissapointing features about this hotel; 1. the food is extremely monotonous and bland, 2. the WiFi does not work in the bedrooms only in the lobby, 3. the staff generally does not understand English (Except the managers), 4. there are usually also free drinks when booking but just be carefull because they use some local alcohol and make cocktails of their own.
Another very dissapointing feature was the night A La Carte menu could be chosen, we were almost 4 families in that restaurant that day, and everyone left there main course dishes - because they were so bad, and others were just picked from the buffet and served in the restaurant.
Alanya, on its own is a wonderful experience, but the hotel sure brings the mood down - especially after offering a 'Ultra All Inclusive' offer.
Not pleased with the hotel at all.

Room tip: Rooms above 5th floor have a stunning view of the sea.

Stayed here for 2 weeks from September 30th, food is good for an al inclusive, bit samey but ample choice, pool was a good size and never over busy, please ignore bad reviews about food and pool size some people are idiots and are never happy, as for having to pay for fresh orange juice, I've been to turkey around 20 times and can only recall getting freshly squeezed orange juice for free once, so paying 1 euro for a glass of freshly squeezed orange I certainly didn't have a problem with. Staff are friendly and polite, roof top bar doesn't open while 9 but there's other bars open so not a problem, a la carte is ok but not outstanding, beach isn't the best but they had a huge storms early season that destroyed part of there beach so they do there best, hope they spend some money closed season and rebuild/reshape it, theres a few restaurants around the hotel, and a 10 minute walk and you will find loads of restaurants and shops, so really don't understand people who moan that there's nothing outside the hotel, used minster tours for trips they where ok. Biggest problem I can imagine with this hotel when running at near full capacity would be only having 3 lifts, as had to wait a while sometimes even when hotel is only 2/3 capacity, If they make improvements to the beach I can certainly see us returning to the Hotel in the near future

We visited the hotel from 30th September for 2 weeks with our 1 yr old son. We had a fantastic holiday!! We had a private transfer as we were aware it was going to be long. This took about an hour and 45 mins. We checked in swiftly and were shown to our room on the 1st floor by the bellboy. On entering the room we noted there was no travel cot. He made a phone call and within minutes of him leaving a cot arrived.

The food was excellent. The breakfast had a huge choice and even a toastie maker! Lunch and dinner again had plenty of choice with dozens of salads and several hot choices of various stews and grilled meat and fish. There was also always pasta and sauce. It did become a little samey but we find this is the case with most all inclusives.

The pool is a good size and plenty of beds at any time of the day. No problem with people reserving beds. Only niggle was how loud the music was especially as the speaker was right over the baby pool.

The beach is accessed via an underpass. However due to a storm washing the beach away early in the season it has moved so you now have to go back up to street level, walk a very short distant and go back down steps. This is not easy with a pushchair. Then you reach the beach. Sun beds are on the upper part as the sand has been washed away leaving quite a drop to the lower part and the sea. The sun beds are ridiculously close to the edge and the sand gave way on my husband! Thankfully he wasn't holding our son at the time. I didn't go into the sea as it was too steep to get in and out especially with baby. Definitely not a family beach and let the hotel down. We ended up spending several days on the town beach as it was much nicer and no stones or steep drop into the water.

Didn't rate the entertainment at all.

The staff were great. The waiters in the restaurant always greeted us and were happy to get our drinks and always took the time to speak to our son. A simple no thank you to the photographer and he left us alone. We had to call reception a couple of times for clean sheets after our son was sick and they arrived within minutes. The staff here work really long hours and very hard but nearly always had a smile and a hello. If you were polite to them then they were to you.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and if the beach was better would return.

Well how can I write this review without completely slating the hotel? Hmm it's going to be hard but let's start with the positives
1-very clean hotel
2- good sized rooms/bathrooms
3-great spa manager and staff good value for money (yes you can get cheaper off site but we enjoyed and liked the hotel hamman)
4- pool bar man and chef always happy to chat have a laugh
5-good cleaning staff groundsmen and security staff
Sorry that's the end of the positives
Negatives next
1- majority of the hotel staff very rude abrupt and seemed to dislike English people (tho given the behaviour of some we seen there it's hardly surprising tho the groups of young Russian/German males in the mankini party did excel by beating the shouting swearing British ladies yes ladies!)
2- food in restaurant well let's just say we spent a lot of money eating out - I have seen better slop served in piggeries - cold greasy need I go on
3- the egg lady well no chance of a fresh cooked omelette or poached egg there she never smiled or spoke - fine if you like cold cheese omelette or cold yolkless fried eggs
4- pay for fresh orange juice? Seriously even four star hotels in turkey serve this free
5- meal times changed 1 oct but still old times on the printed sheet thrust at you checking in at 2am
6- guess which bar is going to be open well not the roof top unless it's after 9pm no comfy beanbags as in the brochures little to no lighting as others say
7- pool not big enough to cater for all there God knows how they manage in summer
8- a la carte restaurant? Seriously? What a joke - Hawaiian chicken I think the chef needs some cookery lessons - it is not what I say resembles chicken stroganoff (specially to someone who orders it expecting pineapple with grilled chicken and is allergic to mushrooms)
9- if you are a vegan forget it ! vegetarian? Unless u like salad and more salad forget it
10- wifi almost non existent and if u can connect you hang for ages so give up

I am well travelled have been all over turkey and other parts of the world including third world countries and never have I had to eat out daily nor have I encountered such food horrors as I have at this hotel
Least the street and hotel cats were fed well whilst we have been here

Sorry diamond hill you were a complete let down no offence to other tourists there but I felt I had stepped into an episode of benefit Britain some days

Myself and my partner have just arrived back from a week at Diamond Hill.
All in all we had a fantastic week. We couldn't believe how nice the hotel was for the money we paid.

The hotel grounds are impressive and the whole hotel is kept spotlessly clean. Our room was lovely and it's a nice touch to have the fridge stocked with coke, Fanta and water. The room was cleaned and we got fresh towels everyday.

The pool area is spacious and clean. There always seemed to be plenty of loungers available and the pool is big enough to not feel crowded. The slides are great fun (the best way to get into the cold pool to cool down!) and there is a little jacuzzi section to relax in. The jets are only on when the water for the slides are on though.

The food was plentiful and tasty. I'm a really fussy eater but I never went hungry. It is a bit repetitive but that's the same in any all inclusive hotel I've found. The only thing I didn't like was the tea and coffee available. The coffee was like gravy and the tea tasteless. I did like the fact that there was a constant supply of bottled water available. We had a meal in the a la carte restaurant on our last night which we really enjoyed. Try the fresh pancakes for breakfast - they are amazing and I had them every day for breakfast.

The only thing that lets the hotel down is the surrounding area. There's not really a lot going on around the hotel. If you want a wander round the shops/bars you'll have to catch the bus into the centre. The number 101 runs every 10 minutes or so and only costs 2.5 lira. It's a long transfer from the airport which can be draining.

We arranged a couple of trips with Minister Tours while we were there. They have an office at the bottom of the lift from the pool. Jamal and Robert especially were lovely and didn't rip us off. We went on the jeep safari which was a fab day out and the tour to Side and Antalya which we also enjoyed but it was a long day.

We really enjoyed our stay but not sure if we'd come back. Only due to the long transfer time and the shambles that we experienced at Antalya airport. I think this area of Turkey is geared more towards German and Russian tourists. All the prices given everywhere is in euros which we found strange. The locals all seem to speak good German/Russian but not English. It also seemed to be more expensive to eat/shop compared to Marmaris or Olu Deniz.

However if you want a quiet relaxing week away in a beautiful hotel then we can recommend Diamond Hill.
