“Lovely Walk”

Bang Pae Waterfalls
Attraction details
Reviewed 6 April 2018 via mobile

After spending an hour in the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project Centre the waterfall is a nice 20min walk up the hillside to a peaceful & surprisingly cool little waterfall.

Worth the short trek

Definitely go before it gets too hot in the day. It is only 300m, but the air is still along the path an the humidity is thick. Wear comfy shoes but bring along some flip flops is you want to hop in the water (I'm a wimp when it comes to walking on rocks) and your trunks or shorts if you want to hop in water to cool off.
The falls is nice and relaxing. While not the most impressive waterfalls it is good to see in the jungle. Tons of butterflies on the way up from the parking lot and lots of merchants to sell you a cool drink when you come down.

went with our family of 2 seniors aged 63 and 65, my husband and 2 young children aged 3 and 4.5. very nice experience for my young kids - we went prepared with swim gear/swim attire. my husband and i brought the kids into the waterfall. there are rocks in the water so we carried them and navigated the small rocks. small climb into the waterfall - easy does it. refreshing small pool of water that the kids can enjoy.

after the kids had a nice cool off in the small pool of water, we handed the kids back to our parents who watched over them by the sides. we saw some local boys climbing to a higher point of the rocks and jumping into the waterfall. we were feeling brave that day and we followed the local boys in jumping the waterfall. quite exhilarating!

route up the waterfall is not very difficult. ok for young and old as long as walking on regular stairs unaccompanied is not an issue.

This is the best waterfall in Phuket and you can swim there. Well worth a visit but you need a car or taxi.

We did a roundtrip on that day because we were tired of laying on the beach.

After Monkey Hill and Gibbon Rehabilitation Center (on the way up to the waterfall) we wanted to refresh under the waterfall.

We didn't expect much because it is dryseason.
The way up to the waterfall is beautiful nature. You feel a little bit like in the jungle.
It gets hot and even more humid!!!

After 10min walk along a river you reach the waterfall. Not very big and impressive but worth it!
If you want to swim in it you have to climb over several large rocks and cross the river once. (shoes!)
But the water is awesome and we had a blast!

Beware of sharp stones in the water! Saw a girl cut her feet while we prepared for leaving!!

A big plus was that we were only like 5 people at the waterfall the whole time.
Not very crowded!!! ( we were there around 1pm!)
