Before touching on the villa itself, I want to thank and praise Gregory, Bo, Nam, Ohn, and the rest of the staff of Jetta Enterprise, who manage this and many other vacation properties in the area. We were very pleased with their professional attention; several times they went "above and beyond" to serve our needs. Thank you! (Tip: Bo seems to be the 'face' of Jetta on Flipkey, so look for her name to find one of their properties.)
The photos of this property give a good idea of its features. It is completely stocked for two people -- including, unusually but happily, two bathrooms to go with the one bedroom.
The large, flat-screen TV has limited channels, but there is a DVD player to watch your own films.
To fully enjoy the kitchen, you'll want to make a trip to the Tesco supermarket about 2 km away.
The quoted daily average for electrical use (charged additionally) is low if you plan to use the air-con regularly. We did, and our average daily consumption was around 300 THB.
The pool is smaller than it looks but perfectly adequate for cooling off. Also, it is not clear in the photos, but the garden is fully enclosed and private, with no overlooking neighbors. :-) On the other hand, cleaning staff -- and even the potable water service -- have a key to the outer gate, so keep a cover-up close at hand!
The villa is located about 700 m from the main road (Viset Road). This is a long way to walk in the heat to then wait for a passing song-tao. The property manager suggested renting a scooter from Ploy Motorbike, conveniently just up the road, which we did (with some trepidation). This turned out to be a very good decision; for 250THB/day, we were mobile and independent and could go wherever we wanted, whenever we wanted.
