Rawai Beach loactes near many islands in Phuket. An have many boats to accommodate any trips to the sea and islands. I enjoyed my afternoon spent there.

Narrow beach which almost disappears at high tide. Used as berthing area for boats so water can get oily from the engines.Get the bus th Naiharn beach.

We were staying in a resort in the Rawai area we hired some scooters and headed to this beach to see why our resort shuttle only took you to Nai Harn beach. Once we got here we realised that it isn’t a swimming beach more of a boat area. Nice long jetty, got some good photos but didn’t hang around for much more than that. The local market in the Rawai area is definitely worth a visit, our resort offered a shuttle there.

The beach is where most fishermen park their boat and restore them. So plastics, paint boxes etc litter the beach which reeks at low tide of seeweed and oil. The bars are where middle aged men go drink beer and pick up thai ladies. Not a beach to swim. Barely one to stroll.

Rawai is a laid back nice beachside town we like to associate with Phuket island. Excellent food, massages, bars. Not really a swimming beach but plenty of long tail or speed boats available to negotiate to take you to select islands for snorkelling or beach relaxation.
