We rented a suite villa by the water - literally.
Did not try the restaurant but breakfast was a bit below for this standing.
House was incredible : huge living space on first floor with great view, terrace and pool
Second floor rooms are huge
Rooftop terrace is incredible

This place has a lot of good and some bad. It's nice that it's on the beach, but don't be fooled you can't swim on this beach, I mean you can hardly walk on it. It's dirty and smelly and during dry season it drys out during the day and then the water is back at night, it's a strange thing to watch. The views on the sunrise and sunset though are beautiful from this location. The first picture you see in their profile is the picture of their most expensive private pool suit. But I have to say the sizes of their rooms and value was very good. We got a great deal on hotels.com and ended up with a 2 bedroom suit for $140 cdn.
The room was at the very back not close to the beach, pool or breakfast area, but that didn't bother us, it was still a good view from the 4th floor. The breakfast was ok, nothing special. It's outdoor so it can get a bit hot. The food at this hotel was pretty good but over priced. We ended up getting Delivary from a wonderful Italian place called Trattoria nostro. The staff is very nice at this hotel. We really enjoyed the pool and found it to be clean. There is a cute monkey that comes by the pool everyday between 2-3:30 and the staff gives him bananas. He doesn't come near you he stays on top of the roof. It was very cool getting to see him everyday. The good thing about this hotel is they offer shuttle bus service to the nearest beach called nai harn beach 3 days a week I believe and another shuttle to a shopping area 3 days a week as well. Nai harn beach is a local favourite and yes you can swim there. One downside was the fact that there aren't many things around this hotel. Across the street there is a family mart, laundry which will cost you 60 thb/ kg very cheap. But make sure you count your items or check the weight before your clothing is returned to you, my husband was missing a pair of shorts. Across the street there is also a massage place, car and bike rentals and a few other small shops. It cost 1000 thb to rent a car for the day and 300 thb to rent a bike for the day. The hotel is situated on a busy main road which was a bit annoying and a hassle at times to cross but you get used to it. The closest grocery store is about 15-20 minutes away. The taxis here are a big time rip off, download the GRAB app and check how much it cost from location to location and then negotiate with a cab or just call the grab, it might be cheaper with grab. I saw every single room in this place. These rooms are no holiday inn size, they are nice and spacious so if you care about space this is a good place for you. Also there are a lot of cats around this resort so don't be startled, it's common in phuket. They aren't dangerous and they look pretty clean. There is a children's trampoline and a kiddie size pool. Also the maids keep these rooms very clean. It's a quiet and peaceful place for anyone looking to relax and get away. This is not like Patong, this is laid back.

Biggest cons:
Taxi is expensive to get to places
No grocery stores or restaurants close by
Beach is not for swimming

Pros:
Nice pool
friendly staff
Big rooms
Good maid service & generous with water
Free Shuttle bus service to beach and shopping area

Dear Nada,
Thank you very much for your review and comments!
We just wish to clarify that there is actually nothing strange about the beach in front of Serenity. Just the water level in the ocean changes depending whether its high tide or low tide. This happens everywhere around the world but its particularly obvious on the East coast of Phuket as the water is so shallow here.
With kind regards, Urs - General Manager

Down in the south of the island which is a lot more chilled out. Phuket is a bit hectic all round. It is first and foremost a beach destination so keep away from the town and shopping/office areas - not fun

The south of the island is away from all of this. Liked the hotel. Really friendly staff and great pool. Easy access to Nai Harn Beach which is my favorite beach on the island.

Recommended.

Great place, wonderful views, great service - every ask was taken care of.

The only one they could not solve was bad wifi connection in the penthouse but the effort taken was amazing!

They also shifted our last day stay to a private suite with swimming pool, provided the cake for my wife's birthday etc etc etc

Room Tip: Suite is best as it has private pools with sea view. Penthouse is also great!

We stayed at Serenity to attend a friends wedding and were surprised by this hidden gem of a hotel. It started with a friendly and efficient check-in, quick transfer and introduction of the suite (#866) and continued with more friendly staff at the pool bar. Food was of excellent quality and I can highly recommend the tuna salad. Only downside was that the jacuzzi on top of the roof of our suite was only available with cold water (air temperature was at 23 degrees C in the evening) and the air condition in the suite was only blowing arctic air instead of the preferred temperature. But that was all neglect-able as Gee and the team from the bar and restaurant took excellent care of us. Will recommend this hotel to my friends and return again when the travel plans allow!

Room Tip: stunning sea-view rooms available. Some with rooftops and jacuzzis!
