Stayed here at for 2 nights at the Atrium Pool Villa. THere are 4 units of these villas with a private pool shared with the units. 2 pairs of interconnecting rooms are also available.

It's on level 2 so no view to speak of, but the privacy of it was great. It's also the same level as the main swimming pool so you get quite a bit of options.

Didn't use the pool but it was used by the other occupants in the other villas and they were really friendly folks, it's great for a group of friends to get these units and have a cooling down session at your private pool with a cold beer.

Breakfast was nice and cosy, good enough selection for a hotel this size. I absolutely love the freshly squeezed juices which they make right before you. The watermelon juice was amazing. Egg station where you can order as per your fancy, nice selection of cold cuts.

Free wifi was perfect, wishes that more hotels would start to offer this as well. Only issue was the apple TV in the room - nothing was purchased so we could not watch anything, if possible, perhaps purchase a movie a month for the guests. Other than that we watched a lot of local channels.

Bathroom was huge, separate shower with rain shower and this is a personal preference, but there is also a handheld shower. I like the option of a handheld shower. Nice bathtub with ambient lighting. Very modern fresh design actually. What I didn't really get was perhaps some miscalculation of the positioning of the sink. It was set quite deep in the counter and there is a wooden ledge at eye level so you cannot really place your head over the sink when brushing your teeth. So water ended up splashing all over the counter.

iPod dock available so we ended up using this to lull us to sleep everynight.

Business centre with free internet on a large Mac computer - trendy.

It's also very conveniently located in the midst of Patong, slightly further away from the bustling Bangla road. Turn left from the hotel entrance and you'll find plenty of local seafood restaurants. Turn right to get to the beach.

It was a lovely getaway, staff were extremely friendly especially the reception staff. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: They have pool access rooms as well and normal rooms on the higher floors. But I liked the privacy o...

Positives:
1. Attractive lobby
2. Kindly assisted (via email) with our transfer from our resort in Khao Lak by directing us to an appropriate website to book our transfer to The Nap.
3. Comparatively inexpensive to other top rated hotels in Patong.
4. Spacious rooms (bluemoon suite)
5. Free minibar
6. Courteous staff- rescued gecko discovered in room!
7. Ok location (near the heart of Patong)

Negatives:
1. Difficult to communicate with staff ( English was very limited)
2. Noise in our room interrupted our 1st night. No apologises. We had to initiate a room change at midnight after engineer could not identify the source of the noise. No further compensation.
3. Airconditioning problems in room. Rectified with room change
4. Hotel warned us against booking a snorkeling trip due to bad weather. Weather turned out to be wonderful. disappointed about the missed opportunity.
5. complimentary fruit platter left a lot to be desired. This had to be redeemed in lobby restaurant only. This could not be redeemed in room.
6. Avg breakfast
7. Did not feel like a valued guest!

Stayed at the Nap at beginning of March, 2012 for two nights before our friends arrived in Patong and we moved to the Burasari.

The NAP is only a couple of years old so rooms, restaurant and overall facilities were good.

We got a really good rate direct with hotel's website which included breakfast. The hotel restaurant had entertainment at night in form of duo, singer and guitar player who were very good.

The location is good and walking distance to beach and other main shopping and entertainment area.

The Nap is a smaller resort best suited for couples, as opposed to families, and if you get a good rate is a good choice.

We booked our stay at The Nap via booking.com which gave us good rates with breakfast included but no option to cancel or amend our booking. At the onset, we were worried about the weather (the weather forecast showed rain and thunderstorms throughout the end of May!) and the risk of another tsunami, but thankfully, the weather was good throughout our stay.

Upon arrival we were informed that the occupancy was low, to which we asked if it was possible for a room upgrade. The hotel staff informed us that the hotel policy does not allow for upgrades - I'm not sure that this is true. They provided us with cold hand towels and pineapple juice as we completed the paperwork for the check in process. Then we were escorted to our room on the 5th floor.

Our room on the 5th floor had a great view of the pool and was nice and quiet, but unfortunately, the water pressure in the shower was poor. We made several complaints about this but the maintenance staff insisted there was nothing wrong with the water pressure. When we went down to the pool for a swim, we found out that the shower by the pool had a strong pressure, and the water pressure in our room could not possibly be deemed "normal." After our swim, we requested to be shown another room so that we could compare the water pressure. We were shown to a room on the 3rd floor where we tested the shower and found that the pressure was much better, so we switched rooms from the 5th floor to the 3rd floor.

The hotel is decorated in a simplistic but elegant manner. There were water features all around the lobby area and it exuded a relaxing ambience. The breakfast buffet was good - it had a good spread of food and our eggs were made to order. The tour agent within the hotel was very good and managed to organize a trip to Pha Nga Bay for us at our request- our trip to Pha Nga Bay was well organized and highly enjoyable!

The mini bar in the hotel was free but the contents were of a limited selection. The mini bar was only stocked with Coca Cola, Sprite and Pineapple Juice from a can.

The staff were generally friendly and helfpul. On our last day, we caught a very early flight home, and one of the staff was kind enough to organize a breakfast box for us so that we could have some breakfast in the cab on the way to the airport - we found this gesture to be very thoughtful and it was much appreciated.

The hotel is conveniently located within Patong. The JungCeylon Mall was approximately 7 minutes away by foot and there are many street stalls nearby so we were fortunate enough to enjoy the local seafood and street food although the prices for the street food were quite highly priced. The hotel itself had a spa but the prices of the spa treatments are quite steep, so we had our foot massages at Oriental De Phuket which was a stone's throw away.

The only issues I take with this hotel is 1) the lack of a laundry bag; 2) the fact that they did not change our bath towels daily; and 3) the fact that they did not change our bed sheets daily. These three issues were disappointing as they are in fact hygiene-related.

Overall, we enjoyed ourselves tremendously and our stay at The Nap was very relaxing as it was during the low season. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay in Patong!

Room Tip: Initially we stayed at Room 504 which had a lovely view of the pool but the water pressure in the sh...

Reservation: i did my reservation through email, agent Giew and Wutt are very friendly and they replied the email very fast.

Location: it's almost the end of the Patong beach. However, it's still a walking distance to places of interest in Patong - ie. Patong beach (~5mins), Jungceylon (~15mins), soi Bangla (~13mins).

Check-in/out: The reception trainee was abit blur and slow during check-in but check-out was quick. The senior receptionist escorted us to the room and brief us the room facilities, I thought it was a sweet touch.

Room: Very clean, bright but calm and comfortable. Love the colour tone of the interior design. The colour tone are in line with the hotel's name, Sea. Room equipped with balcony. There are sofa and coffee table at the balcony for you to chillax,

Toilet: bathroom and 'toilet' are separated. I find it is quite nice. Rain shower in bathroom, water pressure not so strong but acceptable, but the bathroom is abit dimmed. Kind of like the the wooden bathroom floor. Mirror and basin is outside the bathroom (it is in the room, not in the toilet). Basic toiletries provided.

Breakfast: room comes with buffet breakfast at The Nap, very cool breakfast restaurant. Good selection. Love the freshly made fruit juices. champagne and sparkling wine are also available.

Other facilities: Flat TV with decent channels. WiFi is good. Very tiny swimming pool at rooftop with a small bar. Good housekeeping.

Point to note: umbrellas are provided in the room, very considerate. Complimentary drinks bar which will be replenished everyday, i LOVE it!

Conclusion: Recommended if you are looking for a quiet and decent hotel.

Room Tip: only one room type
