The rooms are very spread out in separate blocks reached by pooly lit paths which are uneven and contain numerous trip hazards. At fisrt glance the grounds look attractive but then you notice some of the pitfalls. Tiny unmarked steps to trip over, short steep ramps, steep drops beside the paths with no barriers.
The rooms are also full of potential for accidents. The bathrooms have a lethal step down from the bedroom, bare electrical wires seem to the norm in many hotels and this one is no exception. The bathroom extractor did not work so lots of mould and after 3 days I had to use the hairdryer to dry underwear that has been hanging up all that time and was still almost as wet as it was to start with. The towels always felt damp too. Getting tepid yet alone hot water was a lottery with about as much chance of winning.
There is a severe shortage of sockets in the rooms so you either have to keep crawling on the floor to use the only free, working socket or use the one the one in the damp bathroom. One wardrobe door was off it's runners so the interior light was on all the time (an advantage given the bathroom step). The floor of the swimming pool is covered in slime, something others have commented on as has the fact that little in the room worked as it should have done. Mealie mouthed words from the manager cut no ice - it is action that is needed but don't hold your breath. We saw no sign of any pool cleaning whist we were there.
Food again little choice and verry mediocre, service dire. Driks and services such a spa treatments overpriced by Thai standards. Ordered a melon juice which when it finally arrived was 80% ice. Then the waiter had the nerve to try to interrupt my meal because he wanted paying.More
