Just ask for Grand Market or Grand Hotel. From main road (Thanon Phedkasem) go in direction of the Grand Hotel. The boxing arena is on the left between little shops. Boxing is currenrly on Fridays.
I went there alone and expected to have a great night but find my self deep in the red light street. It's either the place no longer existed or the location is completely wrong. BTW its Saturday today so it should be open
I went here with my husband very good night I would recommend coming here it was a good night in on the locals very friendly there is a bar we can get a drink
A small in size, but big in friendliest terms. We saw 5 bouts, some went the distance of 5 rounds a couple didn't! I've never seen Muay Thai before, it didn't look fake at all, no one can fake blood, cuts and scrapes. An entertaining couple of hours. Usual tourist mark up on prices ranging from 4/500 bhat to 800 baht. Also had the worlds youngest bar tenders! The kids must have been 8 & 10 max!
good honest fun not expencive well worth a visit when you holiday in hua hin , no overpriced drinks the owner will take care of you and your family good fun night out , also has training and gym..
Me and my girlfriend are big fight fans, we are used to seeing the real thing, this was definitely not the real thing so don't expect Bloodsport...
However with that said, it's an entertaining experience. They squeezed in 5 fights in 2 hours and kick each other pretty hard. 2 kids fights (one of which was easily the most fun) & 3 adult fights. Don't pay attention to the leaflets they hand out to entice you in, none of the fights advertised took place. Also be warned the fighters walk around the audience after the fights for tips, but you dont have to pay anyone if you dont want to.
Grab a few beers, suspend your disbelief a bit and have a laugh at the sometimes awful acting on display and you'll have a decent night!
P.s. If you're after the real thing we were told by a local that the Muay Thai gym next to the Grand Market holds real fights Wednesday and Saturday night for a similar price.
