We used to live in Saigon so we were originally just looking for some vietnamese food while staying in Hua Hin for a month. That brought us to Mekong Cafe - so glad it did!

So far we've had two dinners here with our two kids (baby and toddler) but we will def come back once more before we go.

The food is sooo good (and we've tasted a lot from the menu, not only vietnamese dishes). Ingredients are fresh and the dishes seem to be prepared with ambition and proud.

The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, "airy" and always very clean - even for our scandinavian standards.

I highly recommend this place!

Ps. The desert called Bunuelo tastes like heaven.

I visited Cafe Mekong for lunch one day. I ordered fish and chips (280 baht) and it was extremely mediocre. The portion was small. Great vibe in the cafe, however the prices don't match the food that they serve.

I ordered Tom Kha Kai, It was to thick from heavy cream and It was not an authentic way to cook Thai food. Staff wasn't helpful, she couldn't explain what is in the food even she asked a cook. Disappointed

I live in thailand and visited this restaurant now several times to try out new dishes. We absolutely love it. The pomelo salad is to die for and every dish we have tried has been awesome. Some live music, coconut ice cream and good coffee makes me give this place a well deserved 5 stars.

Really fresh, crisp spring rolls. Delicious! Also the group had Pho and curries. Service was smooth. An enjoyable lunch.
