In addition to other member of Medical Team-we are staying after 3-5 days in Myanmar village and Chiang Mai. The furnishings are standard, the entry way and lobby are modern and impressive marble, the breakfast buffet is adequate, nice pool surrounded by concrete walls and concrete decking, staff was very helpful. Yes there are only 2 outlets for electricity-1 directly behind the TV and the other in the bathroom on a wall approx 5 feet off the ground next to the commode. Free wifi was terrible most of the time in the rooms-ok at best in the late late evening or very early in the morning. Wifi thru out hotel was similar.

Stayed three nights in Wangcome Hotel, Chiang Rai. It is clean but rather dated. My room's window is facing a street with a pub which is very noisy every night until the mid night. You could hear the music and also people shouting. If you are a light sleeper, you better change your room otherwise you'll have problem sleeping. No doubt the location of the hotel is good. 7/11, restaurant, night market are within walking distance. Please be extra careful when you step into the bathtub because of the poor design. There are ants in the toilet too. Breakfast is just so so and did not replenish quick enough when there's big crowd. If you are on business trip, be prepare that no iron provided and you have to send your clothes to laundry for ironing.

Room Tip: Ask for higher floor that window not facing pub if you are light sleeper

Hanging out here since Saturday, the 26th of February 2017 and will be leaving the 3rd of March. Our usual stay was at the Golden Triangle Inn which has now changed management. This hotel is still close to the "Night Market" and walking distance to Swenson's Ice cream restaurant. The rooms are clean and comfortable will average lighting. The one item that our team members are complaining about is the number of outlets in the room........TWO total. If you have plenty of electronics it would be wise to bring your own power strip. The price of our stay is $26.00 US or around 910 Baht which is a great price that includes a breakfast buffet. The front staff is both friendly and professional. Places to eat along with the morning market is an easy walk.

I didn't know it was located in a seedy area until I arrived, but having said that, it's quite near (5 min walk) the Night Bazaar and food joints. It's a big and old hotel with plenty of rooms. The mattresses and beds were quite stiff, and with the amount of traffic the rooms deserve some kind of revamp: the fixtures like the shower head or aircon were making quite some noise when in use, and the lights in both the rooms and corridors were very dim... Probably the kind of hotel that inspires more fear than rest. There is no safe in the room though, so be careful if you are carrying plenty of valuables. The rooms are quite clean I must say, but I would like to stay in a more modern hotel next time.
