- Good and safe location (just on the main street and 4-5 minutes walking to the
night market)
- Very friendly and very helpful staff. They speak English.
- Comfortable and clean room, even it's a little bit old and it needs renovation.
- Clean bathroom, even it's a little bit old and it needs renovation.
- The breakfast and the dinner were very good.
- There were hundreds of tourists during my stay and the restaurant for the breakfast
was too small. You couldn't find a free seat to sit down.
- There are many restaurants and bars close to the hotel.

We only spent one night here but found the location and breakfast the stand outs for us.
The breakfast was very good with many choices on offer.
Unfortunately for me I had very little sleep as I found the bed very hard.
The only view we had in the room was the car park but it was okay for one night.

Older hotel, location is convenient, close to Night market. But...... their lady sales manager is unacceptable for servicing industry.
Hotel has large restaurant. Buffet has good selection with local coffee. There are few choices of room layout. Since we are group of 8, we get to see many selection.
Cleaning team is friendly. Front desk is good.
We found out later, that Wiang Inn hotel do local Thai company, hosting event / corporate meeting clientele.
When we walk in to check in, we request for meeting room. Lack of communication between the night shift and day shift, we are not getting the meeting room next day. Front desk attempt to rectify situation. SALes team is terrible with ' I don't care attitude'. N0t accomodating, not solving situation....give us run around. and Yes, I speak Thai to them so no misunderstanding of language. (I am Thai national) My small business group checked out that morning and Sales still don't care.... no apology. Very stuck up. Their cleaning group and front desk attempt to help by apologizing. conclusion, the Sales team focus on number of people they can host for function. They don't care for good service. :(

Room Tip: they have larger corner room, in the middle wing

Spacious room in good location. Great range at breakfast. Plumbing not that great- toilet did not flush too well and plug got jammed in sink. Nice decor in rooms. Laundry service very prompt. Night market 5 mins away. Sunday walking street worth a look - good family atmosphere.

We booked the Delux room Option through Agoda with the room description being room with "1 King bed AND 2 single beds", with 3 guests listed on the booking. We tripled checking the room description and the room photos depicted both King Bed and the 2 Single beds we made a final decision to pay a little bit more and choose the Delux room instead of the Superior room with "Breakfast included" option hoping for more space. When we arrived at the hotel we were told by the staff that there are no such room available and there was an either 1 King Bed OR 2 Single beds options available in the delux room option. Clearly there has been an error on the listing and a mistake on the hotel behalf for not checking the info and listing supplied to Agoda. One of the front staff going by the name of Mr. Worawit said in his condescending tone that we as a guest "should have known" that there are no such room available and no such place would have both 1 king bed and 2 single beds in one room! When asked who will be responsible for the mistake of the listing and who can I make a complain to? Both of the hotel staff Miss Nittaya and Mr Worrawit simply told us there is nothing they can do and the hotel is taking no responsibility for it. We can either choose 1 king bed or 2 single beds options or pay for an extra bed! We also found out with the "Free breakfast included option" was only applied to 2 guests not 3 and we will have to pay extra for our son to eat with us! We were very disappointed in the way the hotel staff responded to the issues. No apologies. Considering we have been travelling for 3 months straight on this trip and have stayed in many hotels and houses booked through Agoda, Hotel.com, AirBNB and had never experienced such a carelessness attitude of staff.

Finally we made a phone call to Agoda and explained the situation, Agoda staff was swiftly solve the breakfast issue and offered to pay for our son's breakfast but still no resolution with the room option. At the end we can not cancel or change the booking and we ended up proceed with the Delux room option with 2 single beds. We requested extra blankets and pillows through housekeeping so one of us could sleep on the floor. Housekeepers were more sympathetic with our situation and had supplied us with extra sheets, blankets and pillows. However the extra blanket were stink of perfume and we could not use it but was too tired to ask for an extra one.

Feedback the delux room we stayed in, the room was basic, we were told there is no difference between the delux room and the superior room but only the size of the room. Some piece of furniture in the room was dated but the bathroom has been renovated. There is in room safe. WIFI in room was slow but usable. Cable TV have some good channels. We can hear noises from the near by rooms and from upper level room.

Staff around the place are friendly. Breakfast was OK. Swimming was horrible. No shady area to sit on a hot day. Water was dirty with floated dead bugs.

The location of the hotel is great, right in the city centre with a short walk to the night Bazaar, clock tower, walking street on Saturday night. However with many good Hotels in Chiang Rai, we will not consider Wiang Inn as our first option for our next stay in Chiang Rai due to the carelessness attitude of the front staff and how they have handled the situation mentioned above.
