We booked this hotel and came to this hotel what is located on a very weird spot outside the city.

When we arrived there was no electricity neither wifi. For about 10 minutes.

We asked them to call a number for us to complete our safari payment what was gonna start next morning.
That looked complicated for them. We decided to have a beer.
We had to give money first and after they left to the super market to buy the beers.

We went to the city and in meantime our safari man went to the hotel. The hotel staff told we were not staying in the hotel.
He left and called twice more to be sure.
In the end they said that we were staying there but booked a safari trough another company (?!?!?!)
So the safari company cancelled our tour and we found this out at 22.30 at night!!!! We were gonna be picked up at 7 the next morning.

The lady at the reception who told the lies to our safari man started a lille theatre because she didn't know what to do.

Our safari was flexible enough to again put us on for the safari. And we spoke to the manager next morning.
It took about half an hour to make apologies and give us back the money from the hotel.

Over all.... not good, over priced for what they offer, incapable staff and not a nice atmosphere.

Don't recommend this hotel

This hotel is on the outskirts of Arusha far from the city center which is not too much of an issue as a taxi ride is about $4.00 to get to town. The actual road leading to the hotel is sandy rocky and dirty.

The rooms could be great and have lots of amenities but most don't work and the place is broken down. The rooms are definitely clean and decent and they have AC which is a positive.

WIFI is based of a cellular plan and they only put in dribs and drabs at a time so the inevitable Vodacom message appears that there is no credit left in the account.

The restaurant food was fine albeit it was made from scratch and took 3 hours to get to us but it did taste nice.

Breakfast for us was supposed to be at 6:00 am but there was nothing there at this time.

In spite of all this we did enjoy the place and the people were nice. The room was most definitely clean and we did get hot water which was nice.

WIFI was awful at best and very little of it.

We are a group of 6 professional Australians, stopped here for one night as organised by our tour operator. After 2 weeks tripping around here we have come to the conclusion that all Africa accomodation is well below what we are used to. One positive is that the rooms are air conditioned. The rooms smell damp, wifi is not great, the hotel location is well out of town. There are many aspects of the rooms that are unsafe, the showers leak, there are air vent fans in the wall without covers, it took at least 1 hour to make the two meals we had had made - dinner and lunch. Breakfast was adequate.

Our Safari Tour guide arranged this hotel for our 1 night stay upon our arrival at Kilimanjaro airport. Being first time in Africa, initially outside surroundings look rather local village kind, but upon turning into the fenced up area of the hotel, the place looked pretty decent. But no lifts. The rooms were simple but clean. Dining area was in a separate area outdoors. We’re abit worried about mosquitoes and spray a lot of insect repellent. Dinner serving was abit slow. Next morning breakfast were rather delicious, eggs, pancakes, potatoes, hot drinks are available. Overall not a bad experience.

But I don’t think we would be able to reach this place without the guide and transport.

I had a wonderful night in this hotel the night before I hiked 15 miles on Kilimanjaro! I loved the room and have no idea how I only paid $50 and ended up with a huge suite and bathroom! Weirdly enough, booking.com emailed me and asked why I never showed up to the hotel. I don't know what that was about but I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel! My only complaint was that the restaurant was not very good. I waited way too long for my food and when I got it, it was not very edible. Hopefully the food gets better, but the hotel was wonderful!
