The location is superb, just a stone's throw from the Jungang market, where delicious local cuisine are available by day as well as in the night.
The famous Hongli traditional Korean restaurant is also within walking distance.

The facilities were very good for a budget hotel - clean room, comfortable bed, good sized bathroom with shower but no safe for valuables. Young receptionists speak some English and are helpful. Close to a very vibrant market with food stalls at night but also in a quiet location for a good rest at night. Some parking available. Close to the station for local trains (get a bus or taxi from the KTX station as it is some way out of the city centre), local bus stops (you can use a T-Money card on local buses) and in close proximity to the tourist office and both the separate intercity and express bus terminals (5-10 mins walk). Gyeongju is living history - take the night bus tour; visit Yangdong village, go to Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto; walk around the royal tombs; go to the local museum which has excellent exhibits.

Room Tip: Views restricted due to hotel's aspect - go outside to appreciate them.

We had stayed in the Ondol Room Type for 2 nights. Rooms are considered clean and fine. The Staff did not have much smile or expression on their face (do not expect much as it is just a motel). Service is average as they did attend our request as we called. Location is still ok at least it is within the walking distance to markets and restaurants and it is quite near to some tourist spot like Gyeongju National Museum which is about 15mins journey by public bus. To those who do not mind about service, can consider staying for short period.

Stayed in this hotel for 1 night. This is at the northern end of the motel area that starts at the Gyeongju bus stations, about 500 meters from the bus station, about 10 minute walk through the motel area. This is a small hotel, with a minuscule entrance/reception area we entered through the ground-floor car park (other similar places in the area call themselves "motel"). Seemed tidy. The corridors had bright futuristic lights. The room was smallish, but included a large flat TV, a reasonable bathroom, and a desktop computer (which we did not try out.) Hotel advertises a free WiFi, which was a portable WiFi access point (slightly bigger than a credit card and about 0.5 cm thick) you get from the receptionist by asking, which worked well in the evening, but ran out of power by the morning (probably because of the battery not having been fully charged.)
We slept well, with no discernible noise from the small street next to the hotel. Some rooms are facing a big street, which could be noisier. That street has one or two restaurants and a market/souq/bazaar building about 200 meters away. We found most of the a bit nicer restaurants on the street toward the bus station. There are plenty of small convenience stores in the area, as you find them everywhere in South Korea.

This place is trying to be cool and it kinda works.
Electronic locks, big shower head, water and juice free in the room, great A/C.
I took the Korean style Ondol room, with mattress on the floor. If you like a hard mattress, this is great.
Location wise it's ok, you can walk to some of the sites and to the tour agencies. There's a nice market a few blocks away.
Mobile WiFi unit in the room works great and good internet speed.
Only issue is that they don't really speak English at reception, and not always there...
