We stayed at Le Bonheur Villa, located in the North East point of Mahe. The east-facing place, located right at the sea shore, gives a breathtaking view of ocean and rising sun.

The Villa has a pool and large dining space. Rooms are nice and have basic amenities such as free Wi-Fi and refrigerator.

The bus stop is close by where buses for Victoria and Beau Vallon are easy available. There are two supermarkets nearby the Villa.

Don and Marlene, the Villa owners, are good person. We needed vegetarian food and they got a delicious food prepared. Likewise, breakfast was fresh and healthy.

Room tip: The Villa has a Penthouse on first floor that might be good for honeymooners.

What a lovely find this was! Idyllically located on the Northern tip of Mahe island, this gem of a place ticks all the right boxes and leaves nothing to be desired - all at exceptional value.

From the moment you arrive you are greeted and warmly welcomed by the charming host and hostess Don and Marylene, both of whom ensure the duration of you're stay in paradise is an unforgettable one. Both took great pride in making sure this mantra came to fruition and it is this sort of attention and passion to detail that sets this boutique venue apart from the competition.

With a stunning beach practically on your doorstep, this enchanting venue also has a glistening pool beautifully tiled for you to take a dip in. Here is an ideal spot to kick back, unwind and meander with a cocktail or to simply reflect on the magnificence of your surroundings with a book.

The food which was wonderfully prepared by Bernard the chef was a mouthwatering delight to feast upon. Fresh tuna tartare garnished with anchovies and delicious lobster with palm heart salad was followed by duck confit which was cooked to perfection and simply fell off the bone. The desert which followed was an assortment of creme caramel, chocolate mouse and orange infused jelly. This proved to be a dynamic combination sure to tantalize your taste buds and appease even the most discerning of travellers. For a flat rate a three course meal is freshly prepared each evening.

All in all one would be doing themselves a disservice not paying this marvelous establishment a visit. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there as did my companions. Bravo!

Whenever we return to Le Bonheur (twice a year), I feel like I have come home. Don and Marylene are exceptional hosts - and now friends- who will go out of their way to make your visit unforgettable.
Chef Bernard, together with Simon his assistant, is undoubtedly the best chef in the Seychelles. Even if you can't stay at the villa, definitely try and make a dinner reservation - you will not be disappointed, but rather overwhelmed.
We hope to return soon.
